25.01.2022 Congratulations to another up & coming junior within the club, Tex Spargo (who also just so happens to have possibly the coolest name around Lark Hill) on making his maiden district half century on Sunday in the under 14’s match against Melville, punching out 51. Tex is highly regarded among the 14’s coaching group & it was great to see him achieve the first of hopefully many batting milestones for the club. Well done Tex

23.01.2022 Our under 13’s team have been lucky enough to land a sponsorship with Evolution Cricket where the player of the round receives a 1 hour private coaching session, a session which is led by the head coach of our 13’s Brendon Diamanti (former NZ international player & current WA under 19’s coach). While there was no absolute standout performance in round 3 v Perth, the coaching team have selected wicket keeper Alex Rutherford to be the recipient of the award this week. Alex had ...been rewarded for his attitude & work ethic @ training, commitment to improve his skill set + his overall wicket keeping display. Well done Alex, keep up (pardon the pun) the great work & the club is looking forward to seeing your continued development. 23.01.2022 Congratulations to the following two girls Micayla Roelofse and Ruby Clarke who have both been selected in the WACA Female Youth Academy! Great reward for effort by these two driven young cricketers. Micayla and Ruby will train with WACA coaches over the next 8 weeks, culminating in a camp in late January.... Well done to you both!

22.01.2022 A few pictures from our under 13’s overnight tour to Bunbury last weekend. The boys were given an opportunity to play 2 matches against the best Bunbury had to offer & stay overnight at Bunbury Grammar. While the matches were split 1-1, the feedback from all has been that the boys had an absolute blast!!! Thank you to our under 13’s coaches BD, Craig & Ryan as well as team manager Dean for putting this event together, a massive commitment from the 4 of you from planning to implementation! Also a call out to our cricket friends from the south west academy & Bunbury Grammar for your assistance in putting the weekend together

19.01.2022 Our under 15’s from last season were able to finally get together tonight to receive their medals & celebrate their flag from 2019/20. It was great to see so many of the boys all together in 1 place. Congratulations again to the team & thank you to the coaches Matt Perry & Joel Marion as well as team manager Renee Torrent for all your contributions.

19.01.2022 Congratulations to 2 of our under 15 players Cooper Perry & Albert Esterhuysen who both scored their maiden district cricket half centuries in last round’s victory over Gosnells. Cooper finished with 60* & Albert 50* in an undefeated 83 run partnership for the 6th wicket. The partnership @ over 5 runs an over ultimately proved the contributing factor in winning a rain affected match where Gosnells got 12 extra overs to chase RM’s total. Well done Cooper & Albert

Reece Torrent scored his 4th career junior century for RM with 122 at better than a run a ball & Jye Donald his 1st ever half century, finishing 54no batting at the end with his little brother Shae. Well done Reece & Jye, fantastic stuff & it gives the side a MASSIVE target to defend next weekend

15.01.2022 Congratulations to #124 Corey Wasley who was last night awarded the "City Of Mandurah" Junior Sports Person Of The Year Award. For those of you that are unaware &/or are just coming out of a years "cricket quarantine", Corey had a "pretty good year" in 2019/20. Just a few of Corey's highlights:... * Corey captained the WA State 15's team @ the national championships in Ballarat back in February 2020. * Corey was selected in the Australian under 16's team as a result of his performances for WA at the national 15's championships to participate in the national 17's carnival to be held in Mackay in October 2020 (cancelled due to COVID unfortunately). * Corey scored a WA district cricket record 265 for RMDCC in the under 14's at the back end of the season. * Corey scored nearly 4 million runs across all formats of cricket in 2019/20. Well done Corey, you should be really proud of yourself. Congratulations & everyone @ RMDCC hopes that your promising introduction to 1st grade WACA cricket this year with the Mariners continues! 04.01.2022 Great win today by our B grade women who won convincingly against Midland Guildford by 10 wickets MG were bowled out for only 37, with Brooke de Oliveira taking 3/5, and Kellie Grant grabbing 2/1 on her club debut. We then took only 48 balls to make the runs with Eleanor Britton leading the way making 28no from 35 balls. Fantastic effort ladies, great start to the season!!... Best of luck for next Sunday’s match at home against Melville, starting @ 12pm on Lark Hill 1.

02.01.2022 The club had a great night last night celebrating the cap presentation for all our new under 13’s & 14’s players. It was a great turn out & fantastic to see so many excited young players that have officially joined the mariner ranks! Thank you to Teague Wyllie who gave up his own time to present all the caps to the new players, the boys really appreciated it With BD & Rhys Donald the head coach of the respective teams this season & 2 really talented groups of players, I am sure they will both perform well.
