21.01.2022 Dear Friends, Today, we are writing to sadly let you know that our gala has officially been cancelled for 2020. Each year, we count on your generous support to keep families together when they need each other most and this decision will have a significant impact on our fundraising, in a time when there are no less sick children.... That's why we are asking you to please consider pledging some or all of your tickets, table or sponsorship investment as a donation to help ensure families continue to get the help they need during this time. All donations over $2 are tax-deductible and 100% of your gift will go to cover the direct costs of local programs. To make a pledge or find out more please reply to this email and a member of our team will contact you. From free accommodation, food and essential supplies, to private tutoring helping children catch up on missed education, or the chance to take a much-needed break to reconnect as a family - every donation will make a difference. Todd and Sue Pearce from Townsville Real Estate Sales and Management by Page and Pearce from have generously pledged their support by donating their table cost of $3,500 to care for sick kids and kindly shared a few words regarding their decision below. We are as dedicated as ever to supporting seriously ill children and their families but we can't do it alone and we thank you for your support and understanding during these difficult times. We are thrilled to announce that you have all helped to raise $129,000 to support our local sick kids We are humbled by overwhelming support we received from the Townsville community and local businesses despite the impact the floods earlier this year. ... In light of advice to practice social-distancing and the Australian Government Guidelines on the restriction of large events, we have had to make the difficult decision to postpone our annual Charity Gala which was scheduled to be held on Saturday, 30 May 2020.... This difficult decision was carefully considered, as each year, this event plays a vital role in raising the funds needed to support our local Programs, and in turn, our local sick kids. We are so grateful for your continued support and can't wait to celebrate our Charity with you all soon and when it's safe to do so.
