You know our inboxes are always open to the community for a chat if you are feeling down or just need someone to say hello to. Here are some tips for how to start a meaningful conversation. Hang in there hockey community. We will be out playing with each other in no time!

23.01.2022 important announcement Unfortunately due to the extended restrictions currently in place in Melbourne, and for the safety of the community, Hockey Victoria has decided to cancel the 2020 winter season As a committee we are obviously devastated that we won’t be able to play together soon but what we all need right now is to be safe. ... Thank you to our coaches for giving us an awesome pre season, thank you to Essendon Hockey for hosting us at their grounds so far, and thank you to RMIT Sport for allowing us to have a few training sessions while we could. This won’t be the last you’ll hear from us for 2020, we are keen for some summer hockey when it’s safe to do so. We will also be back onto our weekly digital fitness sessions from Wednesday so stay tuned for that. Keep an eye out on our social media over the next few weeks/ months so we can all stay in touch! 22.01.2022 SAVE THE DATE 7pm, 16th October 2020 Although the 2020 Hockey Season hasn’t gone exactly to plan, what’s an attempted season without an AGM?! ... Get your competitive side ready for a fun Virtual Trivia Night followed by familiar formalities of an AGM with awards and prizes to give away too! While it will be virtual, it will be a great opportunity to see and hear from everyone in the club!

21.01.2022 IMPORTANT Good morning RMIT Hockey Community! On behalf of the Executive Committee, I am excited to announce that trainings will commence in the near future once we get the go-ahead from RMIT. With this commencement comes a long list of guidelines and regulations from the Australian Government and Hockey Victoria that we MUST adhere to. In order to limit any possible miscommunication and confusion we will be holding two online video calls on Monday and Tuesday next week at ...7:30pm (25th and 26th of May), we are offering two times to ensure all members of our community have the opportunity to jump on to listen to our important messages and to ask any questions you may have. To ensure a smooth transition it is crucial and compulsory that each member of our club joins one of the two sessions if you wish to attend training at this stage. A link will be sent out on Monday the 25th of May with instructions on how to join on our players forum, so be sure to watch that space. Can't wait to see you all!

08.01.2022 !!!! IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT !!!!!! RMIT Hockey Club is moving! For the 2020 season, Footscray is completing major works on their pitches, which means that we are not able to use their facilities this year. We've been working hard to find an alternative arrangement and have been welcomed with open arms at Essendon Hockey Club.... Essendon will host most of our home games (the rest will be at Bundoora, like last year) as well as training for the duration of the winter season. Training will be on Wednesday nights from 6:30pm - 8pm. PRE-SEASON: We’re excited to get back into training, especially to start up with pre-season training. As Essendon will be hosting a masters comp during most of March on Wednesday nights, we aim to train for the pre-season on Monday nights. From Wednesday 1st of April, we will resume training on Wednesday nights at Essendon. Take a look at the dates below and get yourself familiarised with the locations for the first few weeks of the year. If you have any questions regarding pre-season or the move to Essendon please let anyone on the committee know.
