25.01.2022 Ro-Art in Risgewood Rd, Algester, is opening again on Wednesday evenings from 5pm to 7pm. You can paint in any medium, Acrylic, Watercolour, Oil or Coloured pencils. If you are interested phone 31720125 or 0422542567 or email [email protected]. There are a few places available.

25.01.2022 Why not let your youngster join our Art class on Thursdays after school. At present we are paintings countries. Last week was Canada and tomorrow will be Africa! 24.01.2022 Ro-Art in Ridgewood Road, Algester, has opened up again on Wednesday evenings. We start At 5pm for two hours. You can do any medium you desire. Phone 31720125 if you would like to join or email on [email protected]. It is an adult class so as long as you are over 16 you are welcome. The Tuesday morning class starts at 9am.

24.01.2022 Here are two paintings done at Ro-Art over this pandemic Covid time. The first is an acrylic and needs no title mentioned. The lighting is so beautiful. The second is an oil and has many of our gorgeous flora of this our stunning country Australia. This oil wasn’t finished when I took this shot.

22.01.2022 Here are two completed Acrylic paintings yesterday in the Tuesday class at Ro-Art. There's always something special about a sunflower. It is said that "sunflowers turn their faces towards the sun and the fools towards the darkness". I can imagine the second beautiful painting in a lovely sunroom with white furniture. 20.01.2022 At the Tuesday art class this colourful acrylic painting was completed. The yellow parts are actually a beautiful gold but unfortunately it does not show in the photo. The next painting "The Land before Time" is done in oil and is for a grandchild's Christmas present. Many a commission or a gift has been completed in my studio which is great. Not only are you enjoying a social morning doing what you love, you are able to give a love one something special or make a sale. I did the little watercolour, Botanical Art, of the protea. The other two paintings are acrylic of the old barn house at Nimbin and a scene on the Mary River. To see them in full just tap. 15.01.2022 Ro-Art: Special Art for girls 9 yr old girls. Improve imaginative expression and creative skills drawing and painting in Acrylic. Classes held in the Art-room in a relaxed happy environment. (Since the outbreak of Covid primary school kids Art classes at Ro-Art have been closed. They were for boys and girls of all ages, however, this time it’s for 9 year old girls only.) Eligibility:... Girl Age 9 or turning 9 before July 2021. Pre-course registration before 6th May. Pay upfront Use art-school equipment All materials supplied for use on the course, brushes, paint, aprons, easels etc. Bring water bottle. Friday’s 6 weeks 14th May to 18th June 2021. 14.01.2022 Can you spot the birds. How many? The second incomplete painting has one less so the complete painting has one more! How many birds can you spot in the complete painting? This beautiful large acrylic painting was completed in the Wednesday evening class at Ro-Art last night. This is meant to make you think, observe and confuse you! 14.01.2022 Ro-Art students this week completed some really good paintings. The ‘Heron Island Trees’ is a watercolour, The Shed is an oil, ‘Enjoying the Sun’ is an Acrylic and ‘Misty Forest’ is also an Acrylic. If you would like to join these classes come along and enjoy art with excellent light and space whilst doing the medium of your choice. 13.01.2022 I’m busy with my art at home during this time of lockdown. So pleased to have this awesome way of spending time. There sure is true joy in art, photography and sewing. Love having time to get going with the things I love doing. I must say I truly miss all those who come through the Artroom door each week. Here are just some of the paintings I have been doing. The adorable wrens are on the back fence most days. The next one I did mostly using a pallet knife. Enjoyed my morning doing it and was so satisfied with the result. I found it really calming. The next one I did for Keren birthday. If you look carefully you may spot the dolphins. The final one I did is an abstract fluid pour I called the river runs through it.

13.01.2022 This week we painted Spanish dancers, fans, castanets and anything relating to Spain. Last week was France. For this term we will continue moving around the world.

13.01.2022 Adult art classes this week. Some complete and others incomplete. Mostly acrylic and a couple painted in watercolour.

13.01.2022 This week the country was Africa in acrylic. So thrilled with the paintings. There were African artefacts but The students favoured doing the African huts. We also discussed forms and shapes.

10.01.2022 Here's a very good example of successful home decor. It's well worth planning your painting with a scheme in mind. When research and thought goes into your plan it is sure to be really good. This student has only been to two classes during which he painted this awesome artwork. 10.01.2022 This term we are going to do paintings of countries. This week was Canada: so.....Indian canoes, kayaks, mountains, sky, water was required to be drawn then painted in watercolour. I feel sure you will agree that we have some beautiful inspirational work. Wonderful to watch how the children really get lost in their paintings and enter another world of imagination and enthusiasm. So proud of each one. One student told her father when he dropped her off not to come before 4 because that is cookie time!

09.01.2022 How diverse in art are the Wednesday evening group. A gorgeous rose in watercolour with droplets beautifully worked. Tulips painted with watercolour pencils, a dolphin in the sea in watercolour and a oil painting ready for the next Halloween. Each student lost in their design. I am so fortunate to have students who are committed and enjoy what they are doing.

09.01.2022 Ro-Art this week: The first excellent painting was painted in Watercolour by a student who has only been painting for a total of four weeks and this is her second painting. Well done. The second painting is painted in acrylic by a gentleman who thinks out of the box with each of his paintings and keeps trying different ideas and exploring the imagination. Great. 06.01.2022 We are still concentrating doing our world tour however this week it was Australia. They worked so well and I was amazed at the results. Well done to you all. Take a look and enjoy this wonderful country in which we are privileged to live in.

05.01.2022 This show took place on 6/12/2019. It was held in two sessions. The young students and their guests and then the adults and their guests. 64 people attended. Thank you to all who helped make this a great success.

05.01.2022 RO-ART Drawing can be loads of fun. The Thursday class at RO-ART were enjoying learning to draw portraits. There is a big learning curve in observing highlights and shadows. Proportions are imperative as is perspective. Whenever I have run this course the students are amazed that the eyes are not three quarters way up the face and that they are half way. 04.01.2022 Ro-Art on Facebook has been rather quiet lately due to the current pandemic. The adults have been coming to classes however we haven't opened yet for the kid's classes. Here are some of the completed awesome artworks. Art is so good to do in these unprecedented times as you can relax back and forget about the trauma whilst getting lost in what you are creating.

03.01.2022 Yesterday’s class was wonderful to welcome the prize winner who won an art class which included all materials. The prize was given out at Calamvale Quilters Mothers Day high-tea (origination close ti my heart). The excited and well deserved winner produced this delightful painting of the Namibian Desert.
