21.01.2022 Dear RTDC members and Interclub Competitors, We would like to provide an update to the RTDC track day at Pheasant Wood on 5th April 2020. Referencing the Australian Government health guidelines of non-essential gatherings in outdoor spaces, the track day is still able to proceed as planned... Guidelines can be found here: https://www.health.gov.au//coronavirus-covid-19-advice-for In line with government advice, social distancing and hygiene measures will be enforced throughout the day, including the following: - Sign On - Collection of timing beacons - Scrutineering - Carport/Garage and Parking - Dummy Grid - Café Whilst the event is allowed to proceed, the standard cancellation policy will be enforced (refunds at the discretion of the committee after 22nd March 2020). LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE**** WE ARE BACK ON TRACK It is with great pleasure that I can announce Interclub Round 3 is going to be run over 2 days on the June long weekend. Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June 2020 at Wakefield Park.... Both days will be the same format, with a maximum of 40 drivers each day. Strict social distancing means that only drivers can attend the event. No spectators will be allowed. The cost of the event will be $250 per day. You can choose to run 1 day or both days. The choice is yours. Spots are filling very quickly, and we expect with all of us chomping at the bit to get back out there, that the event will fill within the next few days. RTDC would like to thank the NSW WRX Club for their hard work in getting this event off the ground given the current restrictions imposed by the state government. 05.01.2022 Dear RTDC Members, We would like to thank you for your continued support of the club and making RTDC your CAMS club of choice. I would like to take this opportunity to update you all on the outcomes of this years AGM.... There was a very low attendance or 4 people. Quite disappointing when we have over 100 members. There were nominations received for every committee position. The new committee is: Johnathan Meads: President, Treasurer, Officials Renee Meads: Secretary, Events, Membership Jeremy Morris: Media + Social I would like to thank the previous years committee for their efforts and a special mention to Gavin Bell for taking on the roll of president since our inception. As I am sure you are all aware, there have been some issues with events not breaking even in the last 12 months, and even some events that have unfortunately had to be cancelled due to low entry numbers. For the next 12 months, the event plans will be as follows: 1 Skidpan (date TBA) Continued relationship with the interclub series (running 1 event) This is a substantially lower number of events to previous years. Unfortunately this is due to lower than normal entry numbers and minimal volunteers able to assist running these events. Hopefully with increased member involvement we will be able to run a larger number of events from 2021 onwards. Yesterday's Twilight motorkhana has a couple of live streamed videos along with the highlights reel now being saved. ... We are focusing on more coverage via instagram this year for videos and photos as it has some great tools for live video, highlights and much more that we can cover action whilst at the events and save for you to watch later. 01.01.2022 July 11th saw us run our first Motorkhana for 2020. Not only did we have to deal with the complications of a winter event (cold, wet, miserable), but we also had the added stress of COVID-19. All involved staff and competitors were awesome and it turned out to be a great day. RTDC would like to thank you for assisting us with getting all your information though on time before the event as we know everything had to be done differently this time around. Everyone had a great day... and enjoyed themselves finally being able to get out and blow off some steam Event results below. Massive props to Phil East who steered the mighty Ignus to a blitzing overall win. 01.01.2022 ****IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ENTRANTS AND SPECTATORS FOR THE MOTORKHANA**** We have just received the below from SMSP regarding the skidpan this weekend Good afternoon Road Track Drivers Club.... We have just heard from the Dragways next door that their pre-sales are very strong, and they are expecting a large crowd Saturday and Sunday morning. As we share the access road with them we won’t have complete control over the ingress. May I suggest you inform your participants expected on the weekend so they may plan for any disruption. Also, we are sharing the park with a round of the Australian Superbike Championships (ASBK). They are bumping in Thursday and shouldn’t interfere with your arrival, but as it’s a ticketed event there will be staff from 0630 on the gate which will further add to some extra time in getting in. Your members / participants need just indicate they are here for your event and they will not be charged a ticket. Please allow additional travel time See you on Saturday
