24.01.2022 Thanks to the Star Observer for this article. It’s a bit more in-depth than most!

23.01.2022 Transparency is matter of respect, consultation, and accountability. During the climate emergency meeting councillors dismissed a petition signed by over 3900 residents as nothing more than a political stunt. They laughed at the concerns of residents. If elected I will never tolerate such disrespect for the legitimate concerns of residents. When it comes to consultation residents deserve a greater say over expensive projects like the Council's $11 million website. I'd promote... the development of an online tool to allow residents to quickly and easily provide feedback on proposed projects. We should also look to continue to stream Council meetings online so that the differently abled and those who can't physically attend can participate in Council meetings. Finally, when it comes to accountability I strongly believe councillors should be required to give written explanations for all their key votes. This will ensure they consider the full implication of their decisions and can justify them. This will also allow residents to see how truthfully their councillors represent the values of their constituents and ensure that councillors are doing their job.

17.01.2022 The environment in which we live reflects the behaviours we promote. That's why we need to always seek to preserve the beauty of our neighbourhood by reducing graffiti and vandalism. We can encourage local tourism and reduce graffiti by encouraging local artists to cover regularly tagged walls with artwork that reflects the history and beauty of Boroondara.

16.01.2022 As we seek to recover from the pandemic there is a risk that governments will engage in unrestrained urban development. There is a real risk that in the pursuit of this development we will lose much of the built heritage that makes Boroondara so special. I'm determined to preserve Boroondara's built heritage. I'm not a fan of houses without gardens or soulless high-rises. Let's give the community a greater say over urban development so we don't lose beautiful heritage homes like those on Berkeley Street.

15.01.2022 Ballots are arriving! Make sure you post your ballot before 6pm Friday the 23rd of October for it to count. Don't forget to number every box!

13.01.2022 Ballots are being mailed out over today and tomorrow! Voting in Boroondara is compulsory so make sure you vote and vote early to avoid a fine. You must number every box for your ballot to count. If you're keen to get progressive community minded candidates elected I strongly recommend voting as per the below image. The below order best achieves action on climate change, action to protect small businesses, and action to protect our local heritage.

09.01.2022 Wondering where candidates stand on climate action? Have a look at this handy score card produced by the team at Lighter Footprints. We can’t afford to elect leaders who don’t take climate change seriously. Action now will save us money, future proof our local economy, and ensure we do our part in the global fight against climate change.
