25.01.2022 Thank you all for being part of my last two very successful Sales...both extended to allow those caught up in the Covid 19 border barriers to get to the Shops.~~~~ Clayton Street enjoyed a 51 day Sale from 11/04/20 to 31/05/20...then , when I reopened my Edward Street Shop on 05/06/20, I transferred the Sale to that Shop..until close of business tonight, 28/06/20.~~~~ During that time, I have noted that my 'Followers' on FB passed 5000 ( presently 5006) and 'Likes' are sitting on 4904...just 96 to go to reach a wonderful milestone. THANK YOU ALL!

24.01.2022 ~~~SALE~~~SALE~~~SALE~~~EXTENSION to 18th July!~~~ Well, there we have it...the lockdown is over at midnight tonight. ***This lockdown could not have come at a worse time for small businesses like mine, who depend on our June Sale to tide us over the coming winter months. Just when we have outlaid money for advertising etc, we had to close down....mind you, I had a bit of a look around over the four days and spotted many businesses trading as usual...with no concern for adh...ering to the guidelines.*** As I more than likely missed out on many Sales , which I am used to having over the last few days before 30th June each year, and you missed out on the opportunity to obtain the 20% OFF at my Sale., I am going to extend the Sale until close of business Sunday 18th July...at both shops. That should give you plenty of time to come in, so long as there are no further lock downs Terms of the Sale are as they were notified on my post for the finished Sale...scroll down if you need detail. The Sale is at both Stores at the usual business hours as shown on my FB Page.......THANK YOU... THANK YOU............Rob at Rustic Gallery.

24.01.2022 ~~SALE~~~~SALE~~~~SALE~~20% OFF! Dont forget that another 20% OFF Sale commenced on Friday, 5th June, and for every Friday, Saturday and Sunday ( only ) at my Edward Street, Bellevue Shop, until Sunday 28th June. ~~~~That Shop has had to be closed during the virus threat,so all lovers of Military, Railway, Old Furniture, Large Wheels, Machinery, Trucks, Tractors, Vintage Bicycles etc etc will get a chance to take me to the cleaners there too ( after a long and successful Sale... at my Clayton Street Shop finished on 31/05/20 )~~~~.As with all of my Sales, the discount applies to everything other than New, Consigned or Artworks stock, though there is very little that answers that description at the Edward Street Shop. Goods must be paid for in full, and taken before close of business on Sunday 28/06/20. N.B. No other retailers or traders may avail themselves of the discounts..personal shoppers only. See more

23.01.2022 BAD NEWS! ~~~When a shop has ( perhaps ) as many as 60000 items for sale, spread over 1500 sq metres, it isnt always immediately apparent when things go missing . Further to the sad news that someone has stolen a large $389 Tea Kitchen from this shop , probably on Saturday just gone, I have now established that they also stole a large crosscut saw worth nearly $200 ....and a sign made up by one of my consigned goods customers . The sign was perhaps 600 x 150 mm in size, bei...ng made up of scrap pieces of metal by an artist...the sign said UP YOURS.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The total value of these three items is in excess of $600...and there may be even more gone than what I have been able to establish so far.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is now a serious case of blatant stealing, and the sign that they stole probably epitomises the apparent lack of respect that the thief / thieves have for other peoples goods. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I have long thought that this was a very enjoyable business to run, and even though the internet buyers are damaging the shops profitability, I would stick with the shop for as long as I can. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This stealing puts the shop in a precarious position as to its viability, and I may now have to give serious thought to going fully online and shutting the shop down to personal shoppers....as I am certain that these mongrels will come again...it is in their nature obviously to steal from others without compassion or conscience.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The sign is a dead giveaway...if you know of anyone recently acquiring these items, especially that rather prominent sign, please speak to me confidentially and I will reward you for your help. Thanks, Rob. See more

22.01.2022 Right then...the elections are all but over, and the Coalition returns to Government for another three year term.~~~~~~Regardless of who you supported, the fact is there...the share market has had extraordinary gains over the last two days, meaning that shareholder and business confidence has returned already...so we would love to see you all again. ~~~~~~It has been a very slow last few months in business since Labor started announcing its policies, and it has almost see...med like nobody wanted to make a decision about spending money...especially businesses.Unemployment has risen , as the business owners had to wait so long to see which way the elections would go.~~~~~~ All systems are go again, so lets see you...start selecting those items that you hope will still be here when my next Sale is on...maybe you had better get them now...just in case someone else has their eyes on them too,eh.~~~~~~ If you backed the right horse for the elections, celebrate with a nice present for yourself...if you were on the wrong money, get over it with a new Collectable to admire...see you all soon! 21.01.2022 Wow! Where did that two years ago. First days in my new Edward St Shop...May 2018. It has been closed for a few weeks now due to the Covid 19 Virus , where that shop suffered a drastic loss of customers, but will reopen on Friday June 5th , and then continue as before Covid 19.., i.e; open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays each week.~~~~~ As you all have had no opportunity to shop there for those weeks, whilst my main Shop in Clayton Street has been open, and been enjoying good support during a 20% OFF Sale, those same Sale conditions will apply from Friday 5th June to Sunday 28th June ( the Sale at Clayton Street will finish on Sunday night, 31st May...~~~~Edward Street caters for Military, Railways, Furniture, Large Farm Machinery and Wheels, Trucks, Tractors and other related items......worth a look!

21.01.2022 Rob OBrien shared a memory 2 Years ago There we are, moved it with the fork lift this morning , after getting my arm put in a sling at SDH. A bit awkward , but all now in place for what is usually a big trading weekend. I wish that I had taken the trouble to get Porky Forky out last night instead of trying to muscle move two tons of Tractor! Whatever , open for business , albeit customers will need to tote their own goods .~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dateline 18/04/2019....My 1919 Mo...line Universal tractor~~~~100 years old this year...and still in going condition. Not many of these USA bred tractors around in Australia...leastwise working. ~~~~~She has served her purpose as an attractor at my Rustic Gallery Shops over the last two years, and is now FOR SALE...located at my Edward Street, Bellevue Shop.~~~~~ Time for her to go somewhere where someone can start her up, and find some better use for it than as a shop front item...nice for Shows etc. See more

21.01.2022 Closed for four days ( at least, says McGowan). Bad timing for retailers trying to claw back some money from those who went to the online buying during Covid, and never returned. We all rely on end of June Sales to tide us over the expected quiet winter months. I will close , as ordered by our Govt....perhaps I'll look at extending the Sale a bit...watch this space over the coming few days.~~~~Meantime , where are all of these people going who are out on the roads this morning? It looks pretty busy out there.

19.01.2022 Sculptors, artists, home art creators....Rustic Gallery has just received a huge load of plough discs ( great for plinths or bases), S Tines off old seeders...great for table bases, swans, snails etc etc...even for decorating under your verandahs or patios! More cogs have arrived, though they wont last long,as they are always the most popular items for artworks.~~~~~~If you are into romance, a pile of the supports from seeder tines ,shaped like a half of a heart ( put th...em together, eh) also arrived.~~~~~~~Rustic Gallery has also been sorting out all of those boxes of odds and sods (collected over the years),and it is all now ready for the art season, which is nearly upon us.~~~~~ Bring your own containers and stock up ready for the good weather...just around the corner! Prices are always cheap, considering the time and space that we have had to devote to your favourite pieces. P.S. Still a bit light on for rusty old non branded spanners which are very popular for artworks...if you have some, bring them in for a fair trade. See more

19.01.2022 Wow, only 28 more 'likers' to get to the 5000 mark. I was much more excited when those 'likers' equated to value...like when I paid for my adverts to get out to all of them. These days, paying for adverts, as a business, is a real rip off, as , with FB's algorisms...whatever they are, nowadays only about 10% of my FB 'Likers' get to see any of my paid posts...yet the advertising charging rate remains the same. The effect that my advertising has now is basically zilch, so don't expect to see many paid adverts any more. I will await the next smart platform that realises that all of the potential customers out there aren't dumb, eh!

18.01.2022 Desert Collectors...No.12 ( out of 13 )..this one covers a few collections, including the Director, Nigel Quicks own shop in Kalgoorlie...Star City Memorabilia.~~~~~~~5.00 pm this Friday 31/05/19 on 72.~~~~~~ I think that it might still be on at 11.30 am on Saturday too, I will edit this when I am certain of that. ~~~~~ I made the trip up to Kalgoorlie to assist Nigel in showing off his own goods...getting a second look at the cameras. ...ENJOY!

18.01.2022 AXES~~~~AXES~~~~AXES~~~~AXES~~~~AXES. Kelly, Plumb, W.H.Plumb ( including Fern ), HB ( Hults Bruk, Sweden), Hytest, Cyclone, Brades......these are just some of the better brands of axes manufactured over the years, but there are plenty of other makes ...and some good axes that were never branded...but one has to know which ones they are.~~~~ Rustic Gallery has been hunting down axes, broadaxes, tomahawk axes, rabbit trap setting axes, case making axes...axes, axes! ~~~~ Just... letting you axe collectors know that I have over 100 axes and axe heads in stock at the moment....don't be the last to find out, come and have a look. ~~~~ N.B. We are not an internet site...just your regular old bricks and mortar shop. No pics and prices...you have to actually leave that keyboard for a little while and get up for a little bit of excercise...visit a real shop!. Cheers, Rob. See more

18.01.2022 ~~~~SALE~~~~SALE~~~~SALE~~~~SALE~~~~SALE~~~~ Yep, its nearly time for my end of year XMAS SALE, starting this Friday,13th December...in order for you to get plenty of time to find something before the SALE ends on Tuesday, 24th December. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 20% OFF all used (secondhand) stock owned by Rustic Gallery.....New, Consigned and Artworks (New) are not included in the SALE, as there is usually insufficient margin in those goods to allow a...ny discount. That still means that about 95% of my stock is included in the SALE! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Terms of SALE are as before, with any goods purchased having to be paid for and taken before the end of the Sale on 24/12/19....to get the 20% OFF discount. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you really want to buy something and cant meet those terms, then we will still allow LAYBY of goods...but the 20% OFF will not apply. (You can get a discount of 10% still, if you are spending $100 or more.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The pics included in this post are only indicative of stock regularly available at the two shop locations. If you cant find similar items here during the Sale, please enquire at the counter. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My Edward Street Shop will only be open on Fridays , Saturdays, and Sundays , as usual, for the SALE....that gives you six days to shop there...or you may like to make an appointment outside of usual shop hours if necessary, and I am able to accommodate you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Please note that we are a real bricks and mortar shop, with about 80000 items for sale. As such, we are not an internet buying site and are unable to do the pics and prices thing...personal shoppers only. Thanks, Rob. See more

17.01.2022 ~~SALE~~~~SALE~~~~SALE~~Well , here I am, doing all the weekends paperwork still. Seems a bit strange, with two more days to go before Xmas....it is the end of the weekend (a pretty quiet one at that, compared to the last weekend in each of the last ten years that I have had a 20% OFF Sale.)..but , there are still two trading days to go. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Plenty of good stuff to choose from still at my Clayton Street Shop...Edward St is now clo...sed for awhile over Xmas and for a couple of weeks after that to let my very able Assistant , Karen, to have a Xmas break. ( If there is something that you want at the Edward St Shop,we may be able to arrange an out of normal business hours visit..but it will have to be arranged.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thank you, Karen, for another good year...despite the fact that retail trade is down about 15 to 20% in most retail shops,,,and a lot of that can be attributed to the Internet Buying Sites that seem to treble in numbers every month at the moment. I do realise that it is a great way to shop, six pack and choccies in hand, and the old keyboard in front of you, but will it really replace good old bricks and mortar shops.... I hope not, as lots of kids wont be able to find a job in a shop again if the internet becomes the way to buy and sell.~~~~~~~Happy Xmas to you all...see the late buyers tomorrow! See more

15.01.2022 Rustic Gallery post...gotta learn how to get it there.

15.01.2022 Rustic Gallery ( both Clayton and Edward Streets, Bellevue ) is closed for Good Friday. Both shops will be open for Easter Saturday and Sunday...Clayton Street will also be open on Easter Monday.

15.01.2022 Rustic Gallery is open. What, why? Well, what else can I do...the shops are like an extension of my character Besides, with hundreds of thousands of you just milling around, with bugger all to do other than watch Netflix...or devise plans on how to get rid of your partner, lover ,husband or wife. ( thank gawd I am single...sort of.)...shops like mine are an absolute dream for those trying to get something positive out of this CV 19 mess.

14.01.2022 Wow...look at that number...3993 Likes...the massive changes in FBs systems have slowed our Likes down to a trickle over the last year or so... we used to rack up gains in about 1/4 of the time! One day they might bother explaining that, but dont rely on that!...~~~~~~ Whatever, lets hope that Like number 4000 comes up soon, and we will reward that lucky person.Cheers.Rob at Rustic Gallery.

14.01.2022 January to March is always a hard road in my business...probably because it is hot and gardening etc are on the wane, until the cooler weather.~~~~~Elections are always a bit of a problem too, as people are holding back on decisions...and the lead up to this election has been over many months... I wonder if the politicians realise the effect that their bullshitting etc has on business...the same business that they claim to be trying to assist.~~~~~~~ Another problem is the d...ramatic effect that all of these social media sites are having, as collectors and others try out buying antiques and other wares from the comfort of their own homes.I spot many of my customers names on the auction sites...they never show up in my shop any more...despite the fact that they appear to be paying more at auction than in the shops????~~~~~~~Now to the problems that are happening with all of this new found ease in buying online. A fellow from the bush came in this week, with a huge list of the goods that had disappeared from his far away country farm...he had been away for awhile. He looked at my stock, and used it to remind him of what had gone missing. He has had little help from the police...even though a vehicle type and rego. was discovered when checking out things with his neighbours.....His daughter located some of the stolen goods on Marketplace this week, and , with the help of some hard bargaining, then the help of the police, he has got just a pitiful couple of the hundreds of items back.~~~~~~~~ It is all very good for internet buyers to say that they were unaware of whether goods that they were buying were free to be sold...or stolen. Sure, it disappears quickly into a man cave somewhere...and none are the wiser. But...how would the buyer feel if he finally realised that internet buying has no protections...and receiving is treated just as stealing and dealing is.~~~~~~~~ Shops have been around for many a long year, as have most of the dealers. Our goods are on display for all to see, and must be accounted for in buying registers, with ID etc a prerequisite before buying. The buyer of goods from a shop is protected by law...and can feel comfortable with the buying...unlike internet buying~~~~~~ So, it is all up to you, the collectors. Do you really want those goods so much that you are prepared to take the risk and buy stolen goods...at the same time as killing off that shop and the jobs of that shops employees. Up to you~~~~~~~~~~~~ See more

14.01.2022 ~~SALE~~~~Thank you all for the massive support for my Sale. We all know that things are tough at the moment, and finding worthwhile things to do whilst stuck at home is important. Lots of project stuff sold this week, just like Bunnings....except I have the nice old rusty and rustic stuff , whilst they have nails and screws, apparently. ~~~~ You obviously like my 20% Off Sale ( mind you , I have never seen shops like mine discounting so readily in my 30 years in business......bloody wowsers ). Anyway, this last week broke my Sale invoice number records over the last 17 odd years, and probably the number of actual items...over 200 pieces in one week....I can actually see spaces, and now cleaning those areas is necessary...bugger!~~~~ This Sale will go on until close of business on 31.05.20, to give everybody a chance to get a great deal...meantime, thanks for the support...especially over the last few days...and thanks for keeping the bloody virus in mind by checking out the whole yard, and waiting to get your invoices completed. CHEERS! See more

14.01.2022 My end of financial year SALE finishes this Sunday night...30th June, 2019.~~~~~Dont forget to take the time to visit my second shop at 15 Edward Street, Bellevue...where the 20% OFF also applies.....just around the corner from the main shop at 9 Clayton Street, Bellevue.

14.01.2022 ~~SALE~~~~SALE~~~~SALE~~ Just six days left of my 20% OFF Sale....all done and dusted this Sunday at 5.00 pm. Thank you..it has been the best Sale for years, as you all came out from under the doona, looking for project and garden stuff. You all know the story, Bunnings sell the nails and screws, and I sell everything else! Thanks, heaps...the rents will be paid! P.S. Goodness knows how I am going to restock...no Clearing Sales, no Swapmeets, no live Auctions ( just thos...e online ones where getting dudded is the go, apparently.)~~~~~~~~~ ~~SALE~~~~SALE~~~~SALE~~ Dont forget that another 20% OFF Sale commences on Friday 5th June, and for every Friday, Saturday and Sunday ( only) at my Edward St Shop, until Sunday 28th June. That Shop has had to be closed during the virus threat, so all lovers of Military, Railway, Old Furniture, Large wheels, machinery, trucks , tractors, vintage bicycles etc etc will get a chance to take me to the cleaners there too. P.S. The same conditions for that Sale apply...the discount does not apply to New, Consigned Goods or Artworks, though there is very little under that description at Edward St.

12.01.2022 Good news...Six monthly Drs appointment done ..cancer still in remission, heart getting stronger. Bad news, shop must open still, one quick celebratory beer then on the road back to Rustic Gallery...opening at about 12.15pm today.

12.01.2022 ~~SALE~~~~SALE~~~~SALE~~Well , here I am, doing all the weekend's paperwork still. 12.01.2022 Rustic Gallery enjoyed a reasonable trade weekend , just gone, and I thank you for your patronage and business. ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you visited Rustic Gallery ( Clayton Street Shop ) over the weekend , and you spotted any unusual activity, especially around the mid area just in front of the shop / office, a rare cast iron, 100 odd year old Tea Kitchen" worth somewhere between $250 and $350 ( I will check all records for its exact value to...morrow ) has been stolen by some low life piece of excrement. These items were used for heating up water for large needs ..looking like a large cast iron kettle, but with a long front pipe and a brass tap. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Business is very difficult in shops now, with everyone wanting to buy online, so that theft on the weekend means that the shop would have lost most of its profit made over the weekend. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thefts occur on a pretty regular basis, but this was fairly brazen, as the shop was busy over the weekend, and it was a large item to make off with. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you have any information that would assist me to get my Tea Kitchen back...perhaps some braggart has been telling his friends how he/she/they acquired one of these very rare items over the weekend...come and see me and I will make it worth your while. Thanks, Rob at Rustic Gallery. See more

11.01.2022 Aren't you getting sick of chasing down single items on internet platforms? ~~~~There are over three hundred items in this cabinet alone at Rustic Gallery....mostly Garagenalia pieces, but not all. ~~~~ Don't forget though, Rustic Gallery is areal bricks and mortar Shop, with perhaps 80000 items of stock. I do not have the staff or the time to do the pics , prices and post thing...I will leave that to those internet traders with perhaps 20 items to sell., who use those doubtful platforms like Gumtree and Marketplace. ~~~~ Personal shoppers only...see you soon....open seven days a week.

10.01.2022 Thank you all for being part of my last two very successful Sales...both extended to allow those caught up in the Covid 19 border barriers to get to the Shops.~~~~ Clayton Street enjoyed a 51 day Sale from 11/04/20 to 31/05/20...then , when I reopened my Edward Street Shop on 05/06/20, I transferred the Sale to that Shop..until close of business tonight, 28/06/20.~~~~ During that time, I have noted that my Followers on FB passed 5000 ( presently 5006) and Likes are sitting on 4904...just 96 to go to reach a wonderful milestone. THANK YOU ALL!

09.01.2022 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~4000 LIKES FOR RUSTIC GALLERY. A burst of about twenty new Likes over a couple of days has seen Rustic Gallery pass the magical 4000 figure. In past times when I could assess just who was the person whose Like fell on the actual round figure magical moment , I sent out a Gift Voucher to that person. FB doesnt allow me to check that confidential detail any longer.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Whatever, thank you all for your great support. I hope that you all still tune in to Rustic Gallery posts....especially at around this time of the year, when I often hold my magical 10 day, 20% Off Sales....KEEP WATCHING THIS SPACE...IT MAY WELL BE JUST AROUND THE CORNER.~~~~~Cheers, Rob at Rustic Gallery.

09.01.2022 30th June....Big deal, unless you are in business, then it is a record of your businesses last year in business.~~~~ I have a mix of internet , and old basic manual accounting methods to see what has happened over the last year. ~~~~ Being an old methods person, I just have to do my own end of year stuff on the same day...like now. This is despite this big day falling on a Tuesday, when I have long term personal commitments (free dinner!).~~~~ It also meant all of those las...t minute business equipment purchases, to gain taxation benefits. Then there were those other last minute shoppers , chasing end of financial year bargains...and last, but not least, the WA Production Desert Collectors on 73 ( Mate) at 9.30 p.m..~~~~So, 11.20 pm, and I now start those end of year stats to see how the Shop fared over this very traumatic last year. ~~~~ I have completed some of the manual computations during the adverts on my favorite ( and only watched TV Show apart from Sport ), Desert Collectors. ~~~~ Guess what! Despite the Covid 19 absolutely killing off my Shops business during March to April...my Sales during May and June were wonderful. OK, the profit disappeared, but the turnover was way up there, with all of these homebound bodies needing project materials to keep themselves from killing each other! .~~~~ Whatever to end this long post, I need to say that Rustic Gallery is able to continue trading, after increasing my Annual turnover by just $10 per week...can you believe that...up from$224548 to $225082 over the year...with the two month collapse of business early this year I am very happy to see the increase in turnover...just a little bit amusing to see that the percentage increase was just 0.2%....I think that they would call that standing still...but I like that much better than killed off by Covid. See more

09.01.2022 Love my Moline Universal! ~~~~I bought a 1919 Moline Universal tractor at an auction a couple of years back...not long after I spotted one selling at a Cranbrook, WA Clearing Sale for over $23000. ~~~~~A few sceptics have questioned my purchase, which was bought primarily to attract customers to my Clayton Street Shop. It presently fronts my Edward Street Shop...under cover, and just a couple of streets away.~~~~~~~` Got a nice surprise in the latest isue of the The Old Machi...nery Magazine, showing that a similar tractor sold at a very big ( over 1 million dollars turnover ) private tractor collection auction in Geelong, Victoria. It sold for $28340!~~~~~ Mine is for sale at a mere $20000, and, with my current 20% off Sale, it could be out the door for only $16000....Get a move on though, as the price will have to be adjusted upwards after the Sale has concluded on 30/06/19!~~~~~~~Rob at Rustic Gallery. P.S. The tractor has featured regularly on my pages... go back and have a look at some pics. Cheers. See more

07.01.2022 ~~SALE~~~~SALE~~~~SALE~~ Now that they have relaxed the rules and regulations regarding social distancing, I am pleased to advise that Rustic Gallery have been having one of our eagerly attended 20% OFF SALES...since Saturday 11th April. By not advertising the Sale, those coming in have generally been those wonderful regulars who come in , or past, on a regular basis...thereby keeping the numbers down in order to comply with the rules.~~~~~ As the rules have changed somewhat ...recently increasing the numbers of people allowed to gather, from today ( 2/5/20), I can now advertise the SALE! Customers will still need to be aware of those around you, keeping sufficiently apart from each other to comply with the rules.~~~~~ Terms of the Sale are as before...20% OFF applies to most of the stock..but does not include New Goods, Consigned Goods or Artworks. This should leave you with about 95% of the shops stock to choose from. Remember, personal shoppers only...no traders can entertain the thoughts of grabbing a heap of my stock to onsell elsewhere...personal shoppers is how we operate. Goods must be paid for in full and taken before the closing date of the Sale..which has been extended until Sunday 31st May, to cater for those only being advised of the Sale today. ~~~~ Cheers...happy buying...come and get it...minding the rules regarding the Covid 19....please.~~~~~~ See more

06.01.2022 Sheepyard gates...made from old pickets...for sale or can be ordered...a little bit of rustic magic for your garden. ( More comments below ).

06.01.2022 Happy New Year to all of my friends ... both personal and business ( and the crossovers there are many), and customers and FB Followers.~~~~~ Thank you for another good year...defying the odds against the many internet sites taking our business and customers away through its sheer simplicity, and ease of shopping effort. ~~~~It is very clear to see that price is no longer everything, with internet sites hooking ridiculous prices from gullible or unknowing buyers. Maybe a few of my lost customers will take a better look at what is going down in the New Year.~~~~ Whatever, I am still here, and hope to see you all enjoy a happy healthy and prosperous New Year. Cheers, Rob.

Don't forget that another 20% OFF Sale commenced on Friday, 5th June, and for every Friday, Saturday and Sunday ( only ) at my Edward Street, Bellevue Shop, until Sunday 28th June. See more

05.01.2022 Might have a go at Sharing this one...seeing as I am on this weekends show. Cheers, Rob.

05.01.2022 Rustic Gallery has in stock a good range of 'aged look' cement and terracotta plant pots... and plenty of new retro deco cement plant pots.~~~~ Grab a free succulent plant for every $20 spent on plant pots... Spend $100 on the used plant pots and get 10%discount too!~~~~ N.B. Please remember that Rustic Gallery is a Sole Proprietor, single staff ,real bricks and mortar shop. We are not a 20 item internet site run off a keyboard in a house somewhere. It is not possible to provide a catalogue, nor can we provide pics and prices. To be able to do that , with 80000 odd items of stock, we would need to employ another ten staff...and would be Bankrupt by next week. Personal shoppers only, thanks.

04.01.2022 ~~SALE~~~~Thank you all for the massive support for my Sale. CHEERS! See more

04.01.2022 It is way past time for political point scoring, with the terrible fires all over Australia....but particularly in the South East of Australia, where politics have played a major part in the creation of vulnerable areas where devestation by fire has been just unstoppable.

04.01.2022 Happy New Year to all of my friends ... both personal and business ( and the crossovers there are many), and customers and FB Followers.~~~~~ Thank you for another good year...defying the odds against the many internet sites taking our business and customers away through it's sheer simplicity, and ease of shopping effort.

04.01.2022 Yey!~~~~Finally cracked the 5000 'likes'....the last hundred have taken so long to come on board....about three months ,as compared to about triple that rate over the previous three months ( FB have changed their format ,so that you only get your posts / incoming to /from about 7% of your followers...something called algorythms(?) ).~~~~ It also means that the return for my advertising buck is heavily diminished....for the same buck, so I won't use FB any longer for my advertising. They changed the goalposts, with no advice to their customers, so my money for advertising now goes elsewhere, and FB is no longer part of my platform...the 5000 sounds nice, but is now relatively meaningless.

03.01.2022 Rustic Gallery is open.

03.01.2022 Are you getting a good price for your goods when cleaning out the shed? I have struggled to replace the huge amount of stock that has been going out since early in April. Sales since then have been better than ever, as so many of you out there are trying to fill in the hours that you are now spending in your homes, because of this threat of a pandemic....buying huge quantities of stuff, to make firepits, birdbaths etc etc etc...or just building up your collections to stay bu...sy whilst restricted from outside endeavours. Whatever, the problem for me has been in buying goods for you to look at, as Auctions, Swap Meets, Clearing Sales etc wound down.~~~~~~ I am now seeing more goods being offered, perhaps as the money at home dries up..whatever, thank you for offering me your excess goods to help me restock.~~~~~~ Now , for some handy tips when selling goods to me...or whoever you choose to sell to. The return that you can expect is affected by the cost of buying the goods in; (1). If the goods are dirty, I, as the dealer, have to employ someone, or myself , to clean it in preparation for placing on my shelves etc for resale. The hours that that takes comes straight off your return on sale, so , wise up, and clean the goods before you come in, if you are expecting top dollars for your goods. (2). No dealer knows everything about everything...it stands to reason that the collector will know lots more about his/her goods than the dealer, who has to have a general knowledge of everything that has ever been made...whilst the collector usually specialises in one area only. Help the dealer, by adding little notes to support the value that you place on the goods...for instance, a pile of car parts is worthless unless we know what they are off,as there are millions of car parts. If I have to spend hours on Google, Ebay, Gumtree etc, the time that it takes to do that comes off the top of the dollars that you were going to get.~~~~~ Having said that, I will still accept dirty, unspecified goods...but you will be getting the lowest rate that I pay for that...stands to reason. Cheers. See more

03.01.2022 Might have a go at 'Sharing' this one...seeing as I am on this weekend's show. Cheers, Rob.

02.01.2022 ~~~~SALE~~~~SALE~~~~SALE~~~~SALE~~~~SALE~~~~ Yep, its time for my end of financial year SALE. Lets get it started tomorrow, 17th June, so that you get plenty of time to find something before the SALE ends on 30th June! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 20% OFF all used (secondhand) stock owned by Rustic Gallery.....New , Consigned and Artworks ( New) are not included in the SALE, as there is usually insufficient margin in those goods to allow any discount. Th...at still means that about 95% of my stock is included in the SALE! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Terms of SALE are as before, with any goods purchased having to be paid for and taken before the end of the financial year on 30/06/19....to get the 20% OFF discount. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If you really want to buy something and cant meet those terms, then we will still allow LAYBY of goods...but the 20% OFF will not apply. ( You can get a discount of 10% still, if you are spending $100 or more.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The pics included in this post are indicative of stock usually available at the two shop locations.....enquire if you cant find them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My Edward Street Shop will only be open on Fridays , Saturdays, and Sundays , as usual, for the SALE....that gives you six days to shop there..or you may like to make an appointment outside of usual shop hours if necessary, and I am able to accommodate you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Please note that we are a real bricks and mortar shop, with about 80000 items for sale. As such, we are not an internet buying site and are unable to do the pics and prices thing...personal shoppers only. Thanks, Rob. See more

02.01.2022 Wow, only 28 more likers to get to the 5000 mark. I was much more excited when those likers equated to value...like when I paid for my adverts to get out to all of them. These days, paying for adverts, as a business, is a real rip off, as , with FBs algorisms...whatever they are, nowadays only about 10% of my FB Likers get to see any of my paid posts...yet the advertising charging rate remains the same. The effect that my advertising has now is basically zilch, so dont expect to see many paid adverts any more. I will await the next smart platform that realises that all of the potential customers out there arent dumb, eh!

02.01.2022 Rustic Gallery hours for ANZAC DAY, Thursday 25th April.~~~~~Closed all day, both shops, see you all Friday.~~~~~Apologies for Clayton Street not opening until late this afternoon ( Wed)...medical problems again. They say that if the cancer doesnt get you, the chemo will. Well that is ringing true at the moment, with severe fibrosis of the lungs, and a weakened heart ( meaning heart failure this morning ) contributing to another day in Emergency. Got a parking ticket for overstaying in the nearby park ( Hospital full this morning ), and no time to rest at night with my neighbouring factory ramping up their work over the early hours of the morning...sounds like a mining operation!~~~~~ Must be a good year coming soon...the last one has been bloody horrible!

01.01.2022 You know...being robbed is a gut wrenching thing. Not being there on the day is worse...purely because I have no chance of looking back over the customers who were at my shop on the day ( I was at my other shop ) to eyeball the possible suspects. ~~~~After being here for nearly 17 years, I still cant come to believe that someone has actually just walked off with a whole pile of my stock!~~~~ Druggies, yes....grab some sellable stuff and on Gumtree or Marketplace the next ...day...to pay for their drugs. This was different...it is so hard to work out just what was stolen...I would need to close my shop down, employ a few auditors, and do a massive stock take!~~~~ That would not help at all...I would just lose more money!~~~~ I keep on noticing items missing ...so it must have been very well organised...the very quick grab and run ,I mean! Not just easily sellable items, on Gumtree or Marketplace, which really are just the Province of thieves. The items stolen are the items that a real lover of old and wonderful things would take...a 100 year old cast iron tea kitchen ( kettle ), an old WAG warning lantern, a nice long cross cut saw...and a sort of silly ( in the context of what else was taken) artist made sign saying Up Yours....Seriously , these are not your usual type of stolen goods...these are the sort of things that a genuine lover of old historic things would like...not really easily sellable either...so, this is the act of a very strange person...one who loves history, but is a bloody thief...very unusual. ~~~~~ Whatever, it has cost me way over thousands of dollars in loss of stock, now another few thousand dollars for a full security camera setup...and the anxiety and anger in me are palpable!~~~~ If you are a weak in the knees individual...dont read the next bit of this rant. ~~~ I have never asked for help from the police...they are as weak as the donobloodygooders who have helped to create the criminal assistance packages that ensure that these low life bastards rule the roost here in WA. In my past life, one of my jobs was to track down thieves...and when I catch up with this lot of lowlife shitheads, rest assured that the Up Yours sign will be rammed up their bloody cakehole and exit from their mouthhole! ~~~~~~~ LATE NEWS!!!! Here we go...the owner of the artwork that recently got stolen from my shop has located a pic of it...there is no way that anyone would be able to copy this, so, if you have seen it somewhere...please help me to get it and all of the other stolen items back...I will make it well and truly worth your while...and together we can stop these bloody thieving bastards! Remember, whenever goods get stolen, the prices go up, and you are paying for their crimes.
