25.01.2022 Kaya Maylands, this map is wonderful and includes Bardon Park and Maylands Peninsula.

24.01.2022 I’ve lived in Maylands for 13 years and known Robyn for a number of years. She’s a real joy-sparker, seeking out the goodness in people, places and things. She’s a tireless worker for our community, dedicated to making where we live a better place for all of us. Robyn ‘walks the talk’, knows when it’s time to sit and listen, and when it’s time to take a stand on matters of importance. I really like that. Tracy McCullough

24.01.2022 I heard an interesting discussions about a congestion tax on ABC radio this morning. Best idea to come from it Happy Hour on public transport .. A bloody genius, $2 for any trip, any distance! I will be taking this campaign to the responsible ministers as the first step to getting your voice into Public Transport. #$2HappyHourTransperth.

23.01.2022 I have been invited to a candidate forum, it is on 25 September from 6:30 to 8pm, it will be in Morley but no location yet. Photos from today's working bee at Berringa. Another awesome work out, therapy session and community volunteering together. Talking to Ben we decided that Maylands is the centre of the universe due to it diversity, beauty, and people. Oh i must mention my attire, my beloved Sharks won the WAFLWomens Grandfinal, v Swans and it felt like the appropriate acknowledgement.

23.01.2022 All the details you need if you havn't voted yet. You will need to bring your ballot to Council at 61 Broun Ave Morley tomorrow. Please come and vote for me. If your in North Ward vote for Jill Devaney and in Central Ward Sally Palmer and Steven Ostaszewskyj for Central Ward, City of Bayswater

22.01.2022 What a great hood we have in Maylands. A restorative breakfast, I have to confess FiORi Coffee is my favourite.

21.01.2022 This beautiful little animation says so much.

19.01.2022 Anti-poverty week started yesterday. If you want to learn more, head to: https://antipovertyweek.org.au/

19.01.2022 Very excited to receive my invitation to the reconvened EMRC Waste Management Community Reference Group.

18.01.2022 1. Bayswater train station upgrade, planning control area and parking. Lots of State Government money is being spent on upgrading ... Metronet and the airport link will both join the Midland to Fremantle line at Bayswater. Currently due to most parking being removed at Bayswater, the train timetable for the entire Midland to Fremantle line has been changed.... I question the amount of money being spent to upgrade when in fact many of us are already experiencing a reduction in services. Trains in peak times at Maylands used to be every 7 1/2 minutes and every second one was express. Now it is every 10 minutes and all are all stations- no express trains. No-one begrudges upgrades to Meltham and Mt Lawley the increase to their services but why do others get down graded services. Statistics are that public transport usages is falling. I believe that there is a cultural issue with Transperth and that is they don't know aren't interested in users experiences. It is the lack of viable public transport options in Perth which mean we are still so reliant on cars. I often see the inconvenient truth or no parking and businesses failing due to a lack of patronage, how can both be true? Our town centres need to be hubs with public accessibility the priority. Well planned and services urban infill around public transport hubs is wonderful but it must have planning and ongoing community input. 2. More vibrant town centres in Bayswater, Morley, Noranda and Maylands Both active and passive activation is wonderful, it must be supported by accessibility, including a common space with amenities, including seating, toilets and accessibility. I think the City of Bayswater is quite spoilt with public land and each centre needs designated facilities to provide this vibrancy. Successful centres around the world are destinations and businesses thrive because the people come and gather for that reason. Yes Maylands is wonderful but there is so much more that needs to be done to make it a vibrant centre. The work in Noranda and the community accessible spaces of The Morley and Noranda Recreation Club and the work of Noranda Vibe is exciting. I hear there were three tourist busses in Maylands on a Tuesday morning, we need to have our finger on the pulse and know who and why they are here. Lonely Planet and Realestate.com have both noticed Maylands, why are we not providing services to these tourists and getting them to our beautiful places. 3. Pedestrian and cycling access to town centres Yes these must be the priority, with cycle-ways reinstated throughout the city. Celebrate and make new hubs around the new stations. Make sure there are cycle-ways and trees and drinking water available. A network of linked cycle and pedestal paths, especially where they interconnect with car paths.

18.01.2022 Recently I got married at Bardon Park, to my partner of 16 years. We could do this because of the successful Yes campaign. We along with our two poodles have lived here for 15 years. We love the inclusiveness, accessible, diversity (both environmental and human) and beauty of the area. I want this to be a city for all of us: the vulnerable and the strong, the visionaries and the creative. Your vote will give representation and voice to my vision.

17.01.2022 The amazing sights you see in South Ward, this verge is the crn of Ninth Ave and Coode St is so beautiful. Where once there was barren dry earth which attracted dumped rubbish there is now beauty and greening. There is a threat to this green take over and I will be writing and advocating for it to stay.

17.01.2022 These are the people in our neighbourhood. If you can get along and support this cause.

17.01.2022 I had posted an event to clean up in Maylands but I got a better offer. Please join these volunteers at the wonderful Baigup.

17.01.2022 The City of Bayswater should make decisions for everyone; the vulnerable and the strong, the visionary and the creative. I believe that my style of Passion and Compassion can support this vision.

16.01.2022 A highlight of any campaign, a meet the candidate. I will be speaking at this event.

All opened and activating the streets and lanways. We enjoyed a burger at Rifos . Our friend went next door for Indian Pizza we are spoilt for choice.

13.01.2022 Please come and hear your local candidates.

12.01.2022 Here is an event that I would like to invite you all too. This is exactly what makes our community champions. One man used to look out his window and image a different future. Come and be part of making this vision a reality. I will be there.

12.01.2022 Hi all, I will be at this event tomorrow. I highly recomend a bit of volunteering, which also counts as therapy and a workout.

10.01.2022 What is a Socially Just response to homelessness? I have worked in the homelessness sector for 30 years. The first thing I will say, is that no one chooses to be homeless. Circumstances out of their own control have lead to them being unable to maintain their housing. These are complicated by poverty, illness, mental illness and drug and alcohol abuse. ... Solutions must maintain dignity and be flexible to allow treatment and relapse. In Australia the demographic of who is homeless is shifting, divorced women over 60 are the ones joining this demographic. Properly funded services locally managed, in which the homeless are supported through their circumstances, mainting dignity is possible. You can start by putting yourself in that person's shoes and responding with compassion.

10.01.2022 Sharing this information about the Earth Carers course. It is wonderful I did it two years ago and it truely opened my eyes. So thrilled at the direction of the EMRC, the soon to be introduced transition to FOGO is amazing. I have some exciting news, I have been appointed to the EMRC's Waste Management Community Reference Group. We have our first meeting on 14th October. Any waste or FOGO questions let me know.

10.01.2022 I am headed here this afternoon. Have you got an item that is broken or not working, or produce or seeds to share. Come and join in this great event and catch up with me if your considering your vote.

07.01.2022 How it works, bring your spare produce to share and things that don't work to be repaired. Well done Transition Town Bayswater.

07.01.2022 Great night, awesome new venue. Love the beers.

06.01.2022 It's not all about being consumers. I might not agree with much that conservative religious leaders say but Mr Pope is spot on here.

05.01.2022 In summer 2019 I invited some friends for a walk at Bardon Park. One of these friends is in a wheelchair. There is accessible parking at the Maylands Yacht Club but accessabilty to the path was poor. I emailed the Council, who met me here to discuss. Last week when I was there I found this wonderful addition. As an active, compassionate and passionate local. I am seeking your support to be your representative on Council.... Authorised: RJ Walsh 40 Central Ave Maylands 0403919950.

05.01.2022 Posting ballot, it's pretty easy, but for some the existence of one of these big red boxes might be prehistoric. You will find usually find them at Post Offices - this one on Eighth Ave Maylands. There are others around, this link should help you find - https://bit.ly/31WhVME

05.01.2022 Calling all eligible electors please vote in your Local Government election. 04.01.2022 It is slightly old news but Maylands only gets better. Since this ranking we have added Rabble Books & Games, 8th Ave Collective, Lyric Lane Maylands and soon to open The Seasonal Brewing Company. To name a few. I was told that this week on Tuesday morning, there were 3 tourist buses in Maylands. We need to find out who they were and when and why they come. Cool wankers, it's not the place for you.

03.01.2022 I am interested to find out about housing options, to look at housing as where we live not an investment. If you have a similar interest come to this event and we might all learn something.

02.01.2022 I have spent weeks speaking to the people of Maylands. They are fantastic and they are all pretty happy about the City of Bayswater. High marks for verge gardening and huge take up of it too. So so many gardens, well done people. All the folks I spoke to love the openness, and caring of our locals. They will speak and give and volunteer. I have volunteered and experienced this for 15 years. Great opportunity and place to live well. I share this vision and for us all equall...y. Please use your ballot to keep Maylands for everyone. See more
