13.01.2022 You know what it is like. You've found lacemaking and the bug has bit hard and you really think that is all you want to do from now on. Which is great, you're among friends. The trouble is, all those other things sitting in the cupboard that you wanted to do at the time but now you want to do lace. It's tools, fabric, kits (Fox catalogue anyone else guilty?) and bibs and bobs and you really want to do them because you bought them and that's an investment of money and you mig...Continue reading

13.01.2022 Getting ready for the Sydney Lace Day this weekend. Planning on taking everything with me this time as I haven't received stock from my international orders yet.

13.01.2022 A bit of excitement for the last few days of Christmas. White Brok from a stash 36, 36/3, 100/3, 100, 120, 160, 170. In great condition.

12.01.2022 On Friday night I spoke at the Australian Lace Guild conference about 'Why your Lacemaking is a Pain in the Neck' and ran a short video of hand exercises I have just created. You might find it helpful. Enjoy. https://youtu.be/njZcu9NeRPM

12.01.2022 Remember to share this site with your friends and other crafters, because the broader the audience, the more variety of products there are for sale. Also just a chance discussion with friends often reveals a stash in the cupboard that they would like removed, so talking about this project is absolutely encouraged. I will have a webpage set up soon for it because I know there are a lot of people who don't like facebook. I also know there are many, many more people who are not online at all. So please discuss, direct and generally encourage people. It works out well for everyone that way.

03.01.2022 Some advance notice, I will be taking all of January off to travel.

03.01.2022 As some of you may know, I'm coming down to Melbourne for the Australian Lace Guild AGM and conference, and I have a vintage cigar box for sale. I would rather not post it as it is bulky. They are suggested for the base of a travelling pillow, which is why the former owner had it. I wondered if I could start a silent auction on here to help me decide whether there is enough interest to take it or not, as space is at a premium in my car. A silent auction works like this: You s...end me your highest bids by a direct personal message to me (not a comment below here). I will take it to conference if it meets reserve (which is my bid, if you like) and open the auction up to everyone on the Saturday trading day (assuming it is okay with the committee). If not, I will at least let people know about it so everyone has a chance to bid on it if they want it. The highest bidder will have it and will be declared next Sunday, or as soon as I can get an internet connection. Dimensions are 21cm long 13 cm wide and 9cm deep approx. There is no lid. There are stamps on it from the brand and a crack in the base. If it doesn't meet my reserve, i will put it on ebay when I get back. Ask questions before you bid.

03.01.2022 I have had bad news and we are travelling to Melbourne for a funeral tomorrow. I sincerely apologise to anyone who is waiting for anything from me. I will try to do everything before I leave, but I will be focussing on getting away. I expect to be away at least a week. Again, I am so sorry for the inconvenience.

02.01.2022 See this photo above in the cover banner. It now looks like a small container of pairs and singles in rubber bands. I Had to sort them into pairs yesterday, when I had nothing else to do.

02.01.2022 I took some lace stash to the lace day in Sydney and there was a very favourable response. It seems people are willing to purchase even when there are new things alongside. Very encouraging for rehomers.
