23.01.2022 Now that the No.7 Dam in Mount Morgan has dropped to 15% capacity, Level 5 water restrictions will begin on December 1 in line with our Drought Management Plan. You can find all the details at the below link, but here is some key info:... The target is to stay below 1ML water per day - the Mount Morgan community achieved this in October but as the temperature creeps up our water usage usually does too No more garden hoses: time to get the buckets and watering cans out at certain times instead No car washing Council won't leave residents without water: there is around 9 months' worth of water in the dam if these restrictions are followed, and we can transport water up from Gracemere if needed Remember these restrictions only apply to potable water, so Council will still be out and about using recycled water around the town. You can also use recycled greywater in the garden.
