23.03.2022 Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) News - The PBL Focus for weeks 2 and 3 in Term 2 is: I will try my best. It is important to encourage children to have a go, try their best and make mistakes. It is through making mistakes that we learn what works and what does not work. When children are comfortable with making mistakes, they become confident in trying new things and having a go.

16.03.2022 Today is World Autism Awareness Day. On this day we look to create understanding and acceptance for people living on the autism spectrum. Did you know that an estimated 1 in 70 people living in Australia are on the autism spectrum? That is an astounding 351,000 + people of all ages, backgrounds and genders! (source autism spectrum Australia). If you would like to show your support you can 'go blue for autism', by wearing blue today you can help raise awareness and promote ...understanding and acceptance. https://www.autismspectrum.org.au/ https://www.un.org/en/observances/autism-day #LifeontheAutismSpectrum #goblueforautism See more

17.02.2022 March is National Epilepsy Awareness Month. Throughout the month, there are lots of community activities, media campaigns and events going on to help spread awareness, including Purple Day which is today the 26th March. Purple Day is a global initiative dedicated to raising epilepsy awareness, dispelling myths, and increasing support to those affected. Founded in 2008 by nine-year-old Cassidy Megan of Nova Scotia, Canada, the Purple Day concept was born out of Cassidy’s own struggles with epilepsy, her motivation to get people talking about the condition, and her desire to let those impacted by seizures know that they are not alone. Cassidy named the day ‘Purple Day’ after the internationally recognised colour for epilepsy, lavender.
