13.05.2022 Anthony Qalilawa has an unfair advantage when it comes to being Maître D’ at Rockpool Bar & Grill Sydney: being Fijian. The big, warm smile that he was blessed with at birth, on the ‘Isles of Smiles’, is a natural tool of the trade for the front of house professional. Anthony has worked at Rockpool Sydney several times over the past decade, and returned to the fold last month because he says it feels like home. ... Indeed, the Rockpool team is almost a second family. He has known Culinary Director Corey Costelloe since they were 13-year-olds at school together, and has known Head Chef Santiago Aristizabal and General Manager Catalina Cuevas for over a decade. There is no doubt that Anthony, with his infectious grin and vivacious nature, holds a very special place in the collective Rockpool heart, too. Welcome back, Anthony!
