25.01.2022 Control hazardous reduction burn going well

19.01.2022 Attention all: With a break in the weather and volunteers available, the first control burn will begin this afternoon. Friday 17th July. ... The burn will be done on approx. 1/3 of the bush area of rocky creek campsite. There will be a substantial smoke hazard today and lingering smoke tomorrow. Please contact us if you have any concerns. This burn is being conducted in conjunction with the Landsborough Rural Fire Service. The burn area will be constantly monitored.

16.01.2022 ATTN ALL: This afternoon ( Friday 14th Aug) we will be conducting a controlled undergrowth burn to a large section of the bushed area of the campsite in accordance to our fire management plan. There will be a large smoke haze this evening and possibly tomorrow. ... This burn will be monitored at all times and is conducted in conjunction with the Landsborough Rural Fire brigade. 14.01.2022 Well, unfortunately today has hit a new low of lows. After posting the photos of the wandering dogs on the property, someone has come in and stolen the wildlife cameras, that we use to monitor the health of our wildlife and document the population sizes. The pictures we capture on our cameras are used for education purposes as well. ... As a non for profit organisation, I hope you understand how hard it is for us to purchase such equipment, especially when we have had no revenue since March. I really hope you feel good about yourselves, stealing from a youth organisation. if you happen to wake up with a conscious, feel free to return the camera to our mailbox, no questions asked. We will forget this ever happened. Otherwise it will be reported to the police. These cameras are not cheap. I will be making a report Monday.

11.01.2022 Attn Scouting families. At the risk of sounding like a broken record management wish to remind you. Again. That we have strict speed limits onsite. These speed limits are not suggestions, these are our speed limits. These limits start THE MOMENT you pass our fence line. ... We do not appreciate you skidding to a halt in our carpark, wheeling through ripping up the gravel, or spinning your wheels as you leave. It takes a lot of money and volunteer hours to keep the driveway and carpark in a suitable manner, and it takes 2 seconds of someone driving like a fool to ruin it. At the end of the day, we put these speed limits in place to protect YOUR kids from speeding vehicles. So please help us help you. Thank you.

05.01.2022 A massive Thank you to everyone who donated to us after a wonderful member of society stole our previous camera. With all your generosity we were able to not only replace the stolen camera, but go one further and purchase a wifi/cellular camera which texts and emails the members of management photos of any movement immediately. We will be able to track wildlife moments better, and be notified of any trespassers straight away. Again without your support we wouldn’t be abl...e to achieve our goals for youth education and youth safety B R A V O

02.01.2022 This is a controlled clean-up vegetation burn along old Gympie road, at the front of the rocky creek property. It is constantly being monitored. There is a smoke haze along old Gympie road. If you have any concerns do not hesitate to contact us.
