25.01.2022 Volunteers are at the heart of our community and are wonderful, giving people. Let’s face it, we couldn’t have got through all the markets this season without every volunteer as Covid through us so many curveballs. At the height of restrictions, we had 20 volunteers helping us out to manage the safety of everyone. Those high vis jackets were working overtime, and as the volunteers asked for the 800th, 900th or even 1000th time for a person to check-in and out, they did it ...with a smile. We even had volunteers on the toilets cleaning after every person entered at one stage during the peak of restrictions. The additional requirements was just mind-blowing at various times. Needless to say, every person went above and beyond and we couldn’t have done it without: Rokeby Market Committee Will, Harley, Phoebe, Derek, Jill, Alex, and Kate Rokeby Hall and Reserve Committee your additional people power support to ensure that the market could run with heavy restrictions that kept everyone on their toes Community Volunteers stepped in and helped us out when we had particular tasks that we need additional help with. 22.01.2022 Rokeby Market is this Saturday and we will be COVID-19 compliant: market-goers will be required to mask up, sanitize on entry and register at one of the 2 registration tables at the entry points we will have more VOLUNTEERS attending on the day in order to monitor attendance numbers and also service public toilets the hall will be closed and will remain closed until social distancing restrictions are lifted... Brett the ’chook dude’ specialises in silkies, barnavelders and has isa brown rescue hens ready for their forever homes. Pullets at point of lay, so get ready for fresh eggs the following morning!!" The chooks are A++, cages are just how they are transported. Brett also sells supplies to keep them in top condition. ...
