06.01.2022 Rontek Computer Services Owner September 2001 to present. We are a Queensland & South Australian computer repair business. Ron Bath started ronTEK Computers after there was a definite need for another computer repairer in the northern area of Adelaide, South Australia.... After only twelve years registered, we have only moved forward since then. We are now located in Bribie Island Qld as well. We operate the Queensland office while Kirt Hignett looks after the SA office. We have been playing & building computers for over 30 years. Rontek now has a steady client base & have many satisfied customers. We both come from the country, where service is always with a smile. Word of mouth advertising is the best you can get. Trust is one of the best things you can give a customer & we have lots of it.

02.01.2022 PC VIRUS SCAM Just a word about a phone scam going around about virus’s on your computer. They say they are from the Technical Department of (usually Microsoft) and that you have problems with your computer. Firstly, it is unlawful for them to be looking into your computer ,... if indeed they can, and, secondly, Microsoft will never phone you. They go by a multitude of names including www.24x7pchelp.com www.technogenie.com www. logmein123.com www.soc321.com www.fixonclick.com www.pccare.com www.e-prosolutions.com www. gotomypc www.secureallpc’s.com and most used, secureonclick.com They will ask you to click on start > run and type in either eventvwr or prefetch then point out all the errors. These are normal, and part of the system. Al they want you to do is to go to the web site usually logmein .com and download a small program to fix the problem which you are then told to pay for. This program is not an antvirus but a Trojan file to control your PC. A Mr kaushal Kr Jha has been associated with the company. An address that seems to be associated with them is, M/s Shine Solutions P Ltd, No.10 Shyamananda Road, Kolkata-700025. They say they are working for Microsoft, they are not, and don’t forget it is against the law to know what is on your computer so even if they knew they would be breaking the law to admit it. Of course if you know what you are doing you could have some fun with them and string them along as I have done, then they got very abusive and hung up on me. And believe me they will get abusive, so much for a reputable company. Feel free to pass this on.
