25.01.2022 FEELIN' G-ROO-VY: More selfie action from the Roos Family Fun Day.

25.01.2022 ROYAL OF THE WEEK: Even when youre injured you can still be a true blue Roo. This weeks Royal of the Week winner has, unfortunately, been off his feet but still has a firey footy glint in his eye. Congratulations Owen Huynh, of 6 Blue, whose coach said: "Owen suffered a serious knee injury this year which has prevented him playing, however he still turns up to support at home games. He is a terrific kid. His football skills are very clean and hes an extremely reliable pl...ayer at carrying out the coaches instructions and is committed to the team. He has gone about his football over past seasons in the spirit of the award (persistence, attention to detail and being a great team mate). Thanks to East Perth Football Club Inc, Owen wins a $50 Rebel Sports voucher and tickets to the next Royals game - plus some sideline glory. Get better soon! See more

21.01.2022 COMING SOON: Stay tuned, mighty Roos, for details soon about our end-of-year Big Day Out. Mark your diary - October 18, 1pm @ Roos HQ. A celebration for our awesome Mods and Youths!

20.01.2022 The Roos wish to congratulate Mount Lawley Football Club on the generosity its members and their friends have shown to two St Norbert College sisters who are collecting footy boots to take to the Kimberley in memory of their uncle. Please read this amazing story and follow the Brett Claudius Kimberley Boot Drive. Hats off to the Hawks.

20.01.2022 ROYAL OF THE WEEK: Finn Grygorcewicz from Year 8 Blue is Royal of the Week. The East Perth Football Club award recognises players who best demonstrate persistence attention to detail and mateship. Finns coach, in nominating him, said: "Finn really led in testing conditions; was at the foot of packs but also managed to follow instructions by keeping his feet wherever possible and displayed clean hands when many other kids were struggling with the slippery ball. Finn continually did the preliminary hard work contested and then set up teammates in better positions. Each week for the rest of the season, a Roos Royal of the Week winner will be awarded a $50 Rebel Sport voucher and tickets to an East Perth game. Thanks Royals!

19.01.2022 STAR FACTOR: A big shout-out to @bstarcevich whose NAB Rising Star nomination resulted in some awesome equipment being sent to the Roos this week. The pic doesnt do it justice because in the pile are a stack of training bibs, drink bottles and balls which will be put to good use at ROOS HQ - as well as $1000 (towards our new scoreboard). How flash is the game-day board? #goroos

13.01.2022 ROYAL OF THE WEEK: Were proud to announce that this weeks super-duper Royal of the Week is . . . Year 6 Black veteran Harry Jenkins. Harry had a ripper game last Saturday, kicking seven goals and even kicking a goal for the other team when he played for them for a quarter, his coach said. Harry is a great team player and is loved by his team mates. He loves his footy and always turns up to training with a smile on his face. Like all the Team Black boys he is a pleasure to coach and we all enjoy seeing his cheeky smile on the ground when he kicks a goal! As our latest Royal of the Week, Harry receives a $50 Rebel Sport voucher courtesy of East Perth Football Club Inc and tickets to an East Perth game. Thanks Royals!

12.01.2022 HELP US WIN: The Roos have been accepted as one of four local community organisations to pitch to win $1000 in this awesome initiative. Our proposal is to engage diverse families in Maylands and more girls into AFL through football clinics, school visits and activities. Come along, hear our pitch, slurp some soup - and vote. WHERE: Nelsons’ Bar, behind the Peninsula Tavern, 223 Railway Parade, Maylands. WHEN: Wednesday Oct 21 (ie tomoz). Proposals start 6.30pm.

12.01.2022 Sundays torrential downpour provided slippery conditions for our Youths teams who played Round 4 in all corners of Perth - from home to high in the Hills. In these great pictures provided of our Year 12s v Midvale at Roos HQ, its clear what happens when you keep your feet and your eye on the ball. Great play, Roos: Pictures: Emma Palmer.

More than 25 parents helped out - from dawn transport to opening through lunchtime to close in the late afternoon. Outstanding effort, driven by Year 8 mum Sue-Ellen Luke who was at the scene all day. #GoRoos #Newfriends #ScoreboardandSiren

01.01.2022 Narrow wins were the order of the day at Roos HQ yesterday, with the Year 9s thrilling victory one for the annals, and the Year 12s fighting hard to the end for their ladder rung. Thanks again to @emmapalmer for these cracking shots.

01.01.2022 ROYAL OF THE WEEK: Year 7 White defender Nate is a true-blue one-eyed Roo! As Round 8 winner of the East Perth Football Club Inc Royal of the Week initiative, Nate has won a $50 voucher to Rebel Sport and tickets to an East Perth game because his coach said: "Nate is a very brave kid who has no trouble tackling the largest kid out there, bending over to pick up a ball, or getting a hand in a contest. There are things that are regularly celebrated on the footy field: speed. A high mark. A long kick. But the work of someone in a defensive role is often not, particularly in junior footy. And Nate has been excellent in that type of role. Thanks Royals and well done Nate.
