23.01.2022 Pictured is possibly one of the tougher splices I’ve performed to-date. It’s an eye splice in kernmantle rope. Miller 12.2mm sharp edge is the rope and quite nice to work with especially with the help of my @rockexotica.usa #aztec to assist in the bury. The proceeding splices will be finished with heat shrink wrapping on the marry up of the sheath to core. I think will make for a much more aesthetically pleasing splice. However minimal difference to strength. 03.01.2022 As with everything we test to destruction, we believe in what we produce and destroying what we make proves this. This 8mm polyester double braid has an MBS of 16kn and all of these tests failed at 16.17kn on the mid line of the rope and NOT in the spliced area. Extremely happy with the results.
