16.01.2022 Arts and crafts with Jackie from Grand oaks Early Learning Centre. We would love to see all the childrens creative pieces. Most arts and craft projects involve moving the hands and fingers. These movements involve fine motor skills and improve the overall muscle strength and control over movements. ... Arts and crafts increase agility in kids and with practice manual dexterity will improve over time. With regular practice, the child will gain speed and as his finer skills improve his artistic skills will Arts and crafts often require keen hand-eye coordination. Starting at an early age will only make it much better. The more the children practice, the better their hand-eye coordination. Art and craft activities create a sense of achievement inside kids and give a boost to their self-esteem. Teaching a kid to create something tells them that they are in control. This will build immense confidence Arts and crafts are a great way to allow children to express themselves. Arts and crafts can bring out the hidden feelings and emotions in introverted children. Arts and crafts provide a platform for the kids to create new things. It makes them think differently and to innovate. The ability to solve problems the kid encounters while taking up a project work. Apart from learning new shapes and colors, kids also learn about different patterns and figures. Some crafts require visualizing complex designs and the habit of visualizing and remembering complex designs will help the kid in improving his memory. Have fun and be creative.

16.01.2022 From Oct 12 all Victorians must wear a fitted face mask that covers nose & mouth when you leave home. Face shields, bandanas, or scarves on their own are no longer sufficient. As restrictions ease and movement increases, the effectiveness of a face mask is even more important. - For more information about mask wearing across whole of Victoria see: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/face-masks-vic-covid-19 - For information about wearing masks at work, see: https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/face-masks-work-covid-19

15.01.2022 RAINBOW TRAIL AUSTRALIA During these challenging times it’s the little things that just might lift someone’s spirit! Jump on over to the rainbow trail and get creative! ... 14.01.2022 How we react to children is very important (actually and adults); you can make or break someone’s spirit very easily and then it is much harder to repair ... You will get it wrong, you will make mistakes but when you react badly, always say the 2 most important words ‘I’M SORRY’. Relationships can easily be repaired for a child. In fact it’s important to teach them that things can go wrong in relationships, but that they can also still be repaired But of course the ideal it to get it right the first time

05.01.2022 SHROVE TUESDAY!! = PANCAKES!! yum yum Shrove Tuesday is a moveable feast tied in with Easter and usually considered the last day of eating luxury fatty goods. The word "shrove" derives from "shrove" and means "absolve". As lent is a period of 40 days of fasting, Shrove Tuesday is the day before the period of lean eating starts. That means people traditionally had to eat up all of the bad food before Ash Wednesday. so today for afternoon tea, the children enjoyed some delicious hot pancakes!
