25.01.2022 Just a little reminder that our AGM is Wednesday week DECEMBER 9

24.01.2022 Vale Richard Dick Parker The Club is saddened to advise its members that Club Life Member and local identity Richard Dick Parker passed away peacefully on 30th October aged 84. We express our deepest sympathies to Dick' wife Joan and children Geoffrey, Sandra, Joanne and Gary, and extended family and friends. As a mark of respect all our senior grade football teams will wear black armbands in our first scheduled match in season 2021.... We know from League records that Dick played 176 senior games for Rosebud between 1957 to 1972 and he would have played numerous reserves games as well (for which there are no records for that period). He wore the No. 6 for the buds and was a highly regarded player both at the Club and in the local competition. So strong was his connection to the Club that his home in backs onto Olympic Park. In addition to being a player Dick held many positions with the Club including taking over as senior coach in 1972 after Frank Considine walked out of the Club early in the season, reserves coach in 1974, Under 18s coach in 1975, Tribunal advocate and various Committee positions including Secretary and Treasurer. Dick was also a distinguished cricketer and a fitting tribute to his significant contribution to the Boneo Cricket Club and the local community can be viewed via this link: https://www.facebook.com/MorningtonPeninsulaCricketAssociation/posts/3368795069842571 The Private Funeral for Dick will be held on Friday 6th November at 10 am and to view the live streaming of the service you can use this link: http://bit.ly/rwparker We also understand that the Boneo Cricket Club will be holding a final lap of honour for Dick at the Boneo Cricket Ground at 11.30 am on Friday 6th November and any old friends that would like to pay tribute to Dick are invited to attend.

14.01.2022 A Fantastic turnout at 6am this morning in wet n windy conditions for the Re-uniting the Peninsula run proudly organised by the crew at Game changer. Emily Williams, Brad Sykes and of course Glenn Carter work tirelessly to make these events happen. The event is to not only reunite the MPNFL clubs throughout the Peninsula, but to also raise awareness and much needed funding to go towards Mental Health. 10.01.2022 Vale Herbert "Bruce" Collett The Club regrets to advise of the passing of Herbert Bruce Collett on Monday aged 93 and express our deepest sympathies to his family and friends. Bruce owned the iconic Colletts store in Rosebud and was father of Peter, Tim and Sally, with Tim being a past player, President and Life Member of the Club. 10.01.2022 Netball Coaches 2021 We are extremely proud to announce our Rosebud Netball Coaches for the 2021 MPNFL Div 1 season. Their wealth of experience from playing to coaching is exceptional and we cannot wait for the group to share their knowledge with their respective teams.... Thursday night December 10 between 6-7pm is our meet the coaches and registration night and we welcome all our current and new players in all grades A B C D 17&U to attend. Light snacks will be provided and we encourage everyone who is interested or intending to play in 2021 to attend. 10.01.2022 NETBALL IS BACK As we welcome back the return of local Netball, we are excited to finally be able to announce the night for registration and to reconnect with each other. Thursday December 10 from 6-7pm at the Olympic Park courts.... No formal training just a catch up, a bite to eat and to register your interest to play and represent the Rosebud Football Netball Club in season 2021 MPNFL Division 1 Netball. All grades: ABCD17&U Information about how next season will look along with our strong coaching line up will be presented, so please save the date. Saturday morning training (8-9am at Olympic Park courts) started a few weeks ago and will continue until December 19 - everyone is most welcome. We look forward to seeing everyone again on December 10.

08.01.2022 2021 Committee Our club’s AGM moved swiftly tonight with the 2021 Committee almost a carbon copy of 2020 which is fantastic. We have a great mix of past and current experienced players led by Brett & Lachie along with our very well credentialed Secretary and Treasurer in Anthony and Deb.... Returning to general committee are stalwart Stix 300+ game Michael Waugh, life members Brenton Payne and Brenton Davidge and Development player & Assistant Coach Phil Jones. We welcome Steve Berryman on the general committee. Steve has a wealth of experience on both football/netball and yacht club boards. Steve has been a loyal sponsor of our club for many years and is the father of one of our netball players.

08.01.2022 The big fella was out and about this week receiving a Big cheque kindly donated by the Commonwealth Bank in Sorrento. Many thanks to Michelle Middelhuis and the Commonwealth Bank Sorrento for the $500 donation that will go towards our Clubs 2021 wellbeing program.

03.01.2022 A big thanks to our runners who have locked themselves in to run from Olympic Park to Dromana FNC Pier st on Sunday. Emma White and Courtney McLennan will head up the netty girls whilst 2019 Senior B&F Sean Downie will lead the footy crew who include Mark Hustwaite Lachie Armstrong and Brenton Payne BP’s run group will tag along to keep the pace set south of 4min kms If you are up for an early morning Sunday run of around 9km, then meet us at 6am for a 6:20 start at the ...club to kick start your Sunday. Or bring your push bike and ride with the Buds crew and cheer them along.
