24.01.2022 Recently due to numerous requests I met one of our neighbours via Port Melbourne Focus the amazing chocolatier Nancy . She makes the best chocolates right here ( like literally around the corner from us) in Port Melbourne and they are now available in our pop- up shop. 24.01.2022 We are still open... After an amazing response last week, this Friday's cook-off will again be 'Taste of Morocco with a touch of Spain'. **Curfew rules**... Pick-up orders will be ready to collect between 5pm and 6pm on Friday. Served hot, straight out of the pans, all for $15 a serve, we have: Chicken and apricot Tagine Sweet potato and chickpea Tagine Lamb, date and honey Tagine All served with pearl couscous. Plus condiments: mint, almonds, sumac yoghurt. For our Paella lovers, we will also be serving chicken and chorizo, seafood and vegetarian Paella for $15 a serve. What Froggy Bakes will also have delicious sweets available to grab and go. Ask us about ready to go Negroni (just add ice) $15, plus a variety of wines. Themes range from the playful and eclectic to abstract landscape scenes that connect with the viewer on an emotional level. His works invite the viewer to tap into the inner child and imagination, with relatable characters and themes often central to his art. Lukes recent works entitled Passing Glances recalls his travels throughout regional Victoria where fleeting moments have allowed him to slow down and connect with animals in their surrounding landscape. Trudy Rice loves using colour and at art school was told to tone down her colours. Her final works on paper are made by printing layers of solar plate etchings. The initial drawings are placed in the sun with a photopolymer plate and etched into the plate and washed out in water, dried in the sun then inked and printed onto paper a long process but captures the environment perfectly. Trudys inspiration comes from her close surrounds like her garden and the surrounding coast. Art By Duff: Heather Duff (http://heatherduff.com/) is a contemporary artist whose subject matter is the things that have touched her personally from establishing her home to when her family began to evolve to the scenery and images around her. She wants to arouse a thought, a memory and to provoke the viewer. Her art just pops, awakening memories and joy. Joan Bulpit artist loves vibrant happy colours. Her paintings just pop on the canvas and are of many of our local places and activities. Full of vibrancy and life you cannot miss her art in our shop. For Gavin Brown (http://gavinbrown.com.au/), collage has been the basis of most of his work and he sources his material from advertising and popular culture media. He enjoys being an observer and commentator of popular culture in all its excesses and hedonism, its beauty and ugliness and he hopes his art brings an emotional response from the audience.
