23.01.2022 Slim Dusty made 107 albums! For over 50 years, country music legend Slim Dusty and his wife, Joy McKean trail-blazed their way across Australia, creating a musical legacy that to this day continues to entertain and inspire. Theirs is perhaps one of the greatest partnerships in Australian music history. SLIM & I is a feature documentary that tells the incredible story of that partnership and of the brilliant woman who lived beside, rather than behind, the legend - Australias own "Queen of Country Music", Joy McKean. Catch this amazing story at Roseville Cinemas from 10th September.

23.01.2022 A tasty, twisty suspense movie that keeps you guessing through its taut running time. So well directed and photographed, the extravagant plot is engagingly packaged. Its the sort of film that admirers will want to see more than once in order to work out just how cleverly they were fooled the first time around. Ill certainly be back a second time David Stratton, THE AUSTRALIAN ... Clever and very enjoyable its delicious this film. Funny and so intricately and ingeniously plotted Regis Roinsard gleefully leads us down the garden path. All the performances are really beautifully attuned to the material. 09.01.2022 DID YOU KNOW? Roseville Cinemas has long been a fixture of the North Shore community. The building was originally erected in the early 1900s by Kuring-Gai council to serve as the Town Hall for the area. When World War I broke out, the first Australian recruitment drive for soldiers was held in the building. In 1919 after the war, it was renamed Traynors Picture Palace, and thus began the journey to becoming the cinema we know and love. In 1936 DB OConnor, (a pioneer of Aus...tralian film production), renovated it in beautiful Art Deco style. In the early 70s ownership passed on to Hans van Pinxteren and his family, who have been running it for two generations to the present day. The building is one of the few surviving independent cinemas in Sydneys suburbs, resisting the encroachment of multiplexes by dedication to showing a range of top-quality local and foreign films, and continues to be an important part of the community. #supportlocalbusiness

03.01.2022 MADE IN ITALY is a heart-warming comedy set in glorious Tuscany, starring Liam Neeson as Robert, a charming artist who returns to Italy with his estranged son Jack (Neesons real life son Michel Richardson) to sell a house they inherited from his late wife. However, they are shocked to find the once glorious villa dilapidated and in a state of disrepair. Renovations go badly, and father and son find themselves at odds once again. Roberts comical lack of DIY experience leads... him to seek help from some colourful locals, but for Jack, the state of the house seems to mirror his search for memories of happier times with his mother. Jacks heart opens up when he meets Natalia, a vivacious Italian chef who restores both body and soul with delights from her local trattoria. As Robert and Jack painstakingly restore the villa to its previous glory, they begin to repair their bond and imagine a different future. Screening from 13th August
