25.01.2022 Again because of the extensive nature of this situation we are sharing this to help spread the word in the community.

25.01.2022 As you would all be aware current restrictions mean that we will not be running this month, at the current stage May is almost certain to be the same. Hope you are all keeping safe staying at home and spending the time well. take care all! :) in the mean time here is a picture from the UK this month. one of a preserved engine called a 9F a 2-10-0 they were originally built in the 1950's as a freight engine.

25.01.2022 Hi peoples, Just a quick reminder that we are still not running due to the social distancing rules imposed by COVID-19. At this stage we are still very unsure as to when we will be public running again. In the meantime below is a pic from happier times public running with a couple of engines in our club.

23.01.2022 ********MARCH RUN DAY IS NOW CANCELLED******* Sadly, we are going to have to cancel this weekends run. It has been decided that as a matter of prudence the run should not go ahead. This is primarily to protect the health of our members and patrons.... Today's new restrictions announced by the government include non-essential gatherings of 100 or more people. This is also a consideration as it is possible that we could fall under this category. Here is the latest information from the government's response. https://www.health.gov.au//novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov-hea We wish all our patrons and friends the best of health. Until next time, remain calm, look after yourselves and your families. Be alert, not alarmed. Regards, Rocketman

22.01.2022 Hi Peoples, Again it is that time of the month where this Sunday would have been our run day. Unfortunately with COVID-19 and social distancing rules in place we cannot effective host a run day and even expect to break even. so for the moment we are continuing to postpone. Hopefully this situation may change in the next few months SA stays COVID-19 free. In the mean time here is a photo of better times at our club with now visiting loco Conway hauling some passengers down through our scissors crossing at "Roopena" on a run day last year. in the meantime stay safe and thanks to C. Jenkins for this picture

17.01.2022 Well in a pre-pandemic world we would normally be running this Sunday but again we will not be. At this point in time although no official discussions have been ahead or approaches made to relevant authorities it is unlikely we will be running again until social distancing measures are lifted, due to the proximity of passengers to one another on trains. This may change later in the year so keep an eye on our page. In the meantime here is a bit of old time lightheartedness to do with railways: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xYmcN12M97o

14.01.2022 Pretty good day at the office!

12.01.2022 Hi everyone just a short note to let you all know we will not be running again this month due to the COVID 19 Social distancing requirements that impedes us having full trains. We will be endeavoring to open as soon as it is safe and legal for us to resume our normal operations. in the meantime here is a photo taken at our railway in happier times. one of our club members with his CL class Diesel locomotive coming down the hill with a happy load of passengers last year.

08.01.2022 The trains are running tonight...would you like to join us? :-) Starting at 5pm, Roseworthy Campus of the University of Adelaide

07.01.2022 Hello everyone! Well, things with the coronavirus are getting serious indeed. If you haven't heard much about it please do some research and stay informed. Be alert, not alarmed. At this stage of the situation we are cautiously optimistic about running this Saturday evening. All eyes are on the evolution of the situation and if the situation continues to trend in the negative then we will cancel the run. The executive is not taking this lightly. Although we love sharing our hobby with all of you, we will not unnecessarily risk peoples health for the sake of a few laps around the track. Watch this space....

06.01.2022 Hi all, Some further news on run days. At present we have no plans to resume running before our evening run times this year . However, with that said we are looking at possibly putting together a plan if social distancing rules extend into the new year to be able to run in some limited capacity. It is VERY early days yet so watch this space over the coming month or two on the run up to xmas. If state conditions stay good in relation to COVID we may be able to do something. NO promises but we are somewhat hopeful. in the mean time enjoy some photos of different aspects of our hobby.
