20.01.2022 After many, many months of long, hard work our new web site is now on line. Still small areas to complete but well worth changing from the old site. We know changes will be needed and welcome comment so we can make it one of the best Rose sites in Australia. ... I believe it is the most complete Rose sites for Australian bred with even an area to help beginners on how to make their own Rose. Enjoy. www.rossroses.com.au

20.01.2022 First flowers open in the new garden. Playtime. Developed by my kids. A true delightful variety.

20.01.2022 Even though we are all experiencing such challenging times with travel and socialising many are staying at home and tidying up the house and garden. We are always there for those wanting to create that little bit of flowering magic and are still able to supply plants in the winter months. Our new web site is well underway and should provide rose growers with everything they need to select, maintain and enjoy their roses. Check it out mid next month.

20.01.2022 This little cute friend came to visit us at the nursery today!

19.01.2022 Although feed and watering help plant growth nothing beats a really good rain. Look at the new growth.

19.01.2022 All looking good for the future. Crop completed for our 119th year (2021) and making cuttings for our 120th year (2022).

18.01.2022 Thank you Jenny for this great photo of Playtime!

18.01.2022 Lovely time at the nursery with autumn flowers. And chillis

18.01.2022 Just a few of the new varieties we are considering introducing. So many but these have been shining this week.

17.01.2022 Think is becoming my favourite. Just cut 2 buckets of flowers to take home. Wonderful colour, not a spot on the leaves with the dry weather and arm fulls of flowers. Love playtime.

16.01.2022 Visited the Urrbrae garden at Waite institute today. Created by Deane Ross as a showcase of rose varieties of note through the twentieth century. Very impressive thanks to dedicated team of volunteers. One of Adelaides secret gardens.

15.01.2022 Just some wonderful images of our Australian made roses.

14.01.2022 Ruby working hard waiting for the next customer to arrive.

14.01.2022 First pictures of our new garden. Main walk into garden with roses and companion plants. Two beds around 100m long. Lots of plants to put in. Lots of colour in the future.

13.01.2022 With such hot weather around many states it is best to water plants before the heat arrives. A good deep watering with drippers is ideal or if using hose water, wait a few hours then repeat. Mulch is essential to keep moisture in. Hope your plants cope.

11.01.2022 New front entrance raking shape. Part 1 complete. Almost.

11.01.2022 How fortunate to be able to walk the gardens seeing roses like this. Only starting to appear now so will provide some wonderful flowers from now on. Dame Joan Sutherland Height 1m Scent. Strong... Health good Thorns low Repeating excellent See more

10.01.2022 Had some help come in tonight to cut back the roses and weeds. 4 of them with 3 over 2m tall. Wasn’t going to tell them to go.

10.01.2022 After long winter its time to start work in the garden again. First job. Planting remaining old roses and few new beds. With so many planted last winter cant wait to see them all in flower.

08.01.2022 How the garden has grown in 12 months. Next year will see it close to finished.

07.01.2022 Looking at some of our wonderful new rose varieties and deciding which to put on the market. What ones do you all like?

06.01.2022 Another major chore completed. Cuttings now planted to make our 2022 crop. So pleased to have my daughter want to help. All done in record time.

06.01.2022 Lots of little things happening in the nursery. Hundreds of baby gold fish. Must like new pond.

03.01.2022 Those who have visited our gardens would be aware of Rosie who welcomed all visitors then led them back to their cars. Sadly Rosie has succumbed to a mystery illness and suddenly left us. A search has located a new member of our team who will continue this vital welcoming role. Ruby will be our new officer in charge of customer greeting and will start this role on Monday. We hope all those visiting will make her as welcome as they did with Rosie.

01.01.2022 Amazing what 12 months has done to the garden. Next year this time will be glorious.
