25.01.2022 This morning the Brownies and Guides started working on their Science and Technology Badge. We examined different insects and drew pictures of our observations, rescused Ooshies from their frozen cocoons and designed transportation for small dolls to make their way across the room!



25.01.2022 This morning our Brownie unit went Secret Santa shopping at the Willows. We finished off our outing with a visit to the Christmas rooms for some photos! #WillowsChristmas

23.01.2022 This morning our Brownie unit took part in JOTI (Jamboree of the Internet), communicating with Guides and Scouts from different countries via Scoutlink IRC . We also made badges, unicorn puppets and colourful bead bracelets . Two of our older girls, Lily and Abigail, have been working towards their BP Badges. Today they set up and ran their own Wide Game, which they have been preparing for a number of weeks. It was a great success, BRAVO girls!!

21.01.2022 Our Brownie unit recently made some Christmas cards as part of ‘Christmas Cards 4 Farmers’. The cards will be distributed by Rural Aid to Aussie Farming Families. 20.01.2022 Since returning to face to face Guiding our Brownies and Guides have been busy working on a range of different challenges toward their Junior BP, BP and Gemstone badges. We have also made name monsters, designed our own glasses and learnt some new games. We are so pleased to be back!

17.01.2022 Our Brownies and Guides have been meeting via Zoom! Today we had a teddy bears picnic followed by microwave mug cake cooking! Here are some of our girls joining in the fun!!

16.01.2022 This morning our Brownie unit had their first meeting for the year. We travelled back in time to join the Boy Scouts at the Crystal Palace Rally and did a number of rotational activities. These included making a small boat or raft to carry an object across water, sorting items from an emergency kit from the past and the present, making delicious campfire biscuits, coming up with a chant or song about Girl Guides and matching questions and answers about Lord and Lady BP!



15.01.2022 Yesterday our Brownie unit celebrated Halloween. We came dressed in costumes, played some games and shared some yummy party food!

14.01.2022 Yesterday the girls in our Brownie unit had the opportunity to participate in canoeing! A wonderful time was had by all, thank you so much to the leaders for running this fun activity!

12.01.2022 Our last meeting for the term was a busy one with an enrollment ceremony, Junior BP Presentation, party games and some yummy food. A huge BRAVO to Sydney on achieving her Junior BP Award!!

11.01.2022 Last weekend our Brownie unit celebrated the end of the year with a pizza party, movie night and sleepover at the hut! Santa visited to deliver our pressies and we made lovely Christmas wind chimes. Congratulations to the Lambert family for winning the Christmas hamper raffle!

09.01.2022 This morning two of our girls had their enrolment ceremony where they said their Promise and received some of their first badges! We also started working on our ‘Guides Connect’ badge, today’s challenge involved learning some basic First Aid skills.

02.01.2022 Our Brownie unit received a lovely certificate from Rural Aid for the Christmas cards we made for our Aussie farmers!

01.01.2022 Although we haven’t been able to meet face to face our Brownies and Guides have continued their Guiding at home. The girls have independently been working on a variety of badges and we have been meeting weekly via Zoom! Some of our activities have included cooking microwave mug cakes and no bake monster balls, learning about recycling and making posters showing what can be recycled, doing our pets badge, having a teddy bears picnic, participating in cosmic yoga and competing in a quiz via Kahoot!
