16.01.2022 Happy Father's Day
15.01.2022 President Bob presented two Paul Harris awards to Rotary friends Dan Leadbetter and Jan White at our last meeting for the year tonight. Dan and Jan have been assisting club members with their project 'Footprints in the Park' providing meals for the disadvantaged since commencing in 2016. They have turned up come hail or shine to serve the meals. Their recognition of service to Rotary is well deserved.
14.01.2022 President Bob together with fellow Rotarians Russell and Glennis and friends Dan and Jan were preparing the Christmas meal for those who frequent the event at Queens Park Ipswich. The Rotary club of Booval prepares and distributes meals on a regular basis to the needy. Rosie's also provide hot and cold drinks and a sounding board for those who require conversation. We thank the Pizza Hut Yamanto who sponsor the club with Pizzas on a regular basis. We thank all those who have assisted the Rotary club of Booval over the past year. Without your help none of our community projects would have been possible.
10.01.2022 Rotary Members and friends welcomed Councillors Marnie Doyle and Andrew Fechner, from Division 3, to Footprints in the Park at Queens Park last night, to see first hand our major project over the last 4 years. 07.01.2022 Had a busy day at Walloon today providing great food at the Succulents and backyard sale and Walloon markets today. President Bob was busy at the hot plate cooking a sausage sizzle and bacon and egg rolls. Of course I had to test the end product and can confirm that all passed with flying colours. Members Bevan, Graham and Paul were kept busy keeping up with sales. Thoroughly enjoyed the day. # walloonmarkets #succulentsandbackystdsale

All were very appreciative of the distance the DG and ADG travelled to be with us on this special occasion.

01.01.2022 Rotary Club of Booval (Ipswich) provides hot meals to approximately 40-50 people who are in need, who are abandoned, socially isolated and lonely. The meals are served on a Thursday Fortnightly basis at Queens Park Ipswich in conjunction with Footprints in the park and Rosies. Rotary members and friends of Rotary volunteer their services to serve the meals from our catering trailer. Last club year the club provided 1378 meals. The Pizza Hut Yamanto, Woolworths and the Ipswic...h City Council are our major sponsors in this venture and their assistance is invaluable and we are truly grateful for their generosity. As we reflect on the year past we thank all concerned for their participation in providing our services to those most in need. We look forward to continuing our relationship when we return early in the new year. Our members wish all, a Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year and should you be travelling to join family and friends during the festive season we wish you safe travels.
31.12.2021 IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE (Reposted from Brassall Christmas in the Park) Brassall Christmas in the Park is going online once again. As a result of the recent wet weather, the current forecast for the next 2 days, and also the condition of the park surface, we have made the extremely difficult decision to not proceed with the usual event in Sutton Park. We will be doing a live online broadcast on Friday night. We will have fantastic singers, choir, live orchestra and the man in... the big red suit. To tune it at home, all you need to do is go to the following link from 6pm on Friday to join in on all the fun that is Brassall Christmas in the Park Online. www.tinyurl.com/Brassall2021 We are grateful for the continued support of all of our sponsors. We are looking forward to presenting Brassall Christmas in the Park Online to you all. #brassallcarols #christmasinbrassall #christmasinthepark See more
