17.01.2022 Next year is the Centenary of Rotary in Australia - 100 years of Rotarians helping their communities and our nation. The Governor-General and Mrs Hurley hosted ...the kick off of centenary celebrations. A small number of guests at Government House were joined virtually by thousands of Rotarians around the country. The contribution of Rotary and its members to our community is immense. As the Governor-General said Rotarians live and breathe community. They are dependable, they are selfless, and they want to make the world a better place. Rotary International Rotary100downunder Leo Sayer

09.01.2022 Rotary Club of Bungendore Defensive Driving Course a success On Sunday 13 Sep 20, the Rotary Club of Bungendore coordinated a Defensive Driving Course for 15 P-platers by the Transport Industries Skill Centre. The course involved some theory and practical activities in reversing, emergency braking, and vehicle handling in adverse conditions. All participants were able to attend the course for free because of the generous sponsorship by the Bungendore Community Bank, Bungendor...e and District Car Club, Gunna Doo Bakery, Bungendore Service (Caltex), and Palerang Automotive. Lunch was provided by the Rotary Club, with bread donated by Gunna Doo and ice from the Bungendore Bowling Club. Anyone interested in doing a course in the near future should contact the Apex Club in Braidwood.

09.01.2022 The Rotary Club of Bungendore was pleased to be able to present a donation to Mulloon Rural Fire Brigade last night. The Mulloon Rural Fire Brigade provided 53 crews to the recent fires. The donation was a combined donation from the Rotary Club of Bungendore and the Rotary Club of Winton, New Zealand. The Rotary Club of Winton was approached by the Hedgehope Fire Brigade to provide a donation to a local fire brigade. After a bit of leg work by Garry Cook, we identified Mulloon Rural Fire Brigade after they supported Hedgehope Fire Brigade during their time here fighting the bushfires. Pictured here are Ross Catoi (Brigade Captain) and Mark Newman of Mulloon Rural Fire Brigade and Garry Cook from the Rotary Club of Bungendore.
