24.01.2022 The World Health Organization’s African region is officially certified free of wild poliovirus.

23.01.2022 It was a privilege for 4 of our members to serve the sausage sizzle today for the Armadale March Against Family Violence. Graham S, Greg W, Peter C and Peter W had fun serving the hungry crowd that turned out in Memorial Park for this important event.

22.01.2022 After a productive meeting in the Armadale Library this evening, a bunch of us extended fellowship over a delightful meal at the Cantina and Grill. Excellent cuisine, friendly service and the cost extremely reasonable. Rotarians have fun while planning meaningful community engagement.

17.01.2022 Armadale: We’ve come a long way!

16.01.2022 Prior to the 4th August 2020 the people of Lebanon were facing a civil revolution, economic crisis as well as Covid. On the 4th August, a huge blast took out the commercial port of Beirut, causing around 200 deaths, injuring over 6,500, and leaving around 300,000 people homeless. The explosion damaged/destroyed five hospitals, countless schools, commercial and residential buildings. This left a critical number of humanitarian devastation needing support in the short, medium a...nd long term. The Lebanese people are known for their welcoming and friendly nature and have been arrivals to Australia for over 140 years, bringing a richness of cultural diversity. They have supported Australia through wars and natural disasters and as their families have melded into the fabric of our society, so we can feel for the people of Beirut. Our Australian Rotary is holding a campaign to raise funds for much needed support like refurbishment of the damaged hospitals, helping bringing food and sanitation including Covid-19 hygienic material to the disadvantaged people of Beirut. Your support is needed and appreciated. Please donate to our Australia wide appeal by visiting RAWCS.org.au and making a contribution. It also will be helpful to share this post so it can reach a larger population. See more

10.01.2022 Our Community Relations Director, Greg Walkington, has been avidly collecting ring pulls from aluminium cans for a long time. Now he has almost a trailer full of them which he's cashing in for scrap metal value and the money will be donated to Wheelchairs for Kids. Can you guess the weight of the ring-pulls? And can you guess the worth?
