25.01.2022 Today, 2 June, is Thank A First Responder Day 2020. Our First Responders have always supported our communities but in 2020, it apparent just how much they do to... protect and care for us. With COVID-19 on top of the everyday business of house fires, car accidents and crime, 2020 has highlighted the incredible work of our first responders. So please take time today to say ‘thank you’ to those who protect, defend and care for our community every single day. See more
24.01.2022 On Tuesday evening Rotary had the privilege of hosting Rebekah Frankcombe Tasmanian ambassador for the Naked Farmer and Women in Agriculture, and Carl & Mandy Cooper from Rotary Community Care for the evening. This wonderful team of dedicated individuals enlightened everyone with details of 'Boots on the Ground'. An incredible initiative that is hoped will be a great support and contribution to our region for anyone who feels bogged down. Come along on Wednesday 17th March... at the Blackberry Inn Forest at 5:30 pm and be a part of helping rural Tasmanians lightening the load. #rotaryopensopportunities #Rotary #rotaryinternational #BootsOnTheGround See more

16.01.2022 Recently members of Rotary enjoyed a fantastic weekend away on a 'Wicked Wendy's Wonderful Wilderness Tour.' A convoy of wanderlust travelers headed down the Western Explorer via the Tarkine Drive into Corinna for a wonderful fellowship stay. Completing the travel over the Pieman River, Granville Harbour, Zeehan, Tullah and onwards home. A fantastic trip with many wonderful stories, food gatherings and road adventures ensured a very successful 'Wicked Wendy's Wonderful Wild...erness Tour.' #smithtonrotaryclub #rotaryopensopportunities #rotaryconnectstheworld
15.01.2022 On Tuesday evening Rotary welcomed the very lovely Mrs Mary Kay as guest speaker for the evening. An incredible life story from a little girl in Britain, to Tasmania, operating the radiowaves over the ocean and everything in between. A life of support and involvement within the community. Her story is a treasure, and we certainly enjoyed our evening in her presence. #rotarytasmania #rotaryconnectstheworld
