15.01.2022 Maria & Annie, and Di & Marigold were part of the first Children's Voices session this morning, helping to support Wollondilly kids affected by the devastating... Green Wattle Creek bushfires. The event was held at Buxton, providing the opportunity for Wollondilly kids to share their bushfire experiences through art and activities, while being supported by Katrina and Amy from Full Potential Children's Psychology, and of course the lovely PAWS dogs. The children's feelings, ideas and artworks will be compiled into a beautiful picture book. Wollondilly Shire Council will take this valuable feedback into account when developing management strategies for future disasters. A big thank you to Robyn from Wollondilly Library, Wollondilly Shire - Dilly Wandererand Rotary Club of Wollondilly North Inc. for putting on this fantastic event. Thank you to Wollondilly Shire Council for a generous Mayoral Grant, which enabled the PAWS teams to support this event, and the 4 upcoming sessions at Bargo, The Oaks, Picton and Warragamba. Such a privilege to be able to support our local community. Tune into WIN News tonight - you may see a story on this special project.
