25.01.2022 Important information for 4 upcoming events......please read if it's relevant to you. * U9-U12s Region Qualifier * U13-U17s State Qualifying Update * U13-U17s North West Zone Event * State Multi Event Carnival U7-U17... U9-U12s Region Qualifier Last chance to submit entries to the Region Qualifier event if you haven't already done so. Please email Leisa at [email protected] U13-U17 (LANSW Youth State Championships) Date: 27-28 March 2021 Venue: Sydney Olympic Park Direct nominations apply for the U13-U17 via the LANSW Registration Portal. Nominations open Monday, 18 January and close on Sunday, 21 February 2021. Qualifying Standards must be achieved this season, under the Little Athletics specifications e.g. weights and heights and achieved when competing in their own age group. Standards will be posted Tuesday, 22 December 2020. Top 2 from each Region then next top 8 from across the state will be selected to compete. Announcement of successful athletes will be posted on LANSW site by 28 February 2021. A cap of 24 athletes per event. There will be NO relays for the U13-U17 age groups. Multi-class (Disability) athletes will be required to do a direct entry. Please click HERE for entry and further details. U13-U17 Northwest Zone Qualifying event This is an opportunity for athletes in our zone to compete to achieve their best results in time for State Qualifying entries. Date: Sunday 31st January 5pm onwards Events: All track events plus High Jump Where: Blacktown International Sports Park Registration Process: Enter via ResultsHQ Will open this week. Athletes: Open to all U13-17s athletes in the North West Zone only. State Combined Events Carnival U7-U17 This season, the State Combined Events Carnival will be held at Beaton Park, Wollongong on Saturday and Sunday, 6 & 7 March 2021. Cap will be 700 athletes across the whole carnival. Entries via LANSW registration portal. Entries will open on Monday, 21 December and close Wednesday, 10 February. No Late Entries due to COVID. 25.01.2022 Registration pick up has gone drive-through! Two muster nights have been organised to collect registration patches. These drive-through events will be at Centenary Park this Friday, Sep 11 and Wednesday, Sep 16 from 6pm-7.30pm. No need to RSVP just turn up!

23.01.2022 In today's Committee Profile I get to introduce myself! I'm Monique, the Rams Social Media Manager. My family joined Rams five years ago when our kids Flynn and Zane were six and three. It was our first experience of kids’ sport and I reckon it would be hard to beat the fun and relaxed atmosphere. You’ll see my husband Craig on the starter's pistol (or BBQ) and I'm often behind the computer doing results. We love Little A’s because there is no greater feeling than watching your child cross that line with a beaming smile - feeling like a champion.

LANSW have kindly halved their fees for any athletes who still wish to register for the Jan- Mar period. Fees are $60 for Tiny Tots and U6, $75 for U7-U17. 11.01.2022 Little Athletics NSW would like to provide our Centres and Members with an update in relation to Championship (Zone/Region/State) events for the 2020/2021 seaso...n. The Covid-19 Pandemic will have an impact on how we deliver our championship events this season. The board is committed to delivering quality events that keep our members safe. The staff and championships committee have been considering a number of options to achieve this. Whilst we currently do not have the final details we would like to share some of the details with you all: The traditional Zone and Region Championships will not take place this season. A number of State Qualifying meets will be held in the early part of 2021, most likely February. A State Championship Event will be held in March. The full details of the above will be announced in the coming weeks.

11.01.2022 Today we are doing a Committee Profile on Dana. "My daughter Hannah joined Rams as a Tiny Tot 7 years ago. She absolutely loves it and has made some great friends over the years. All I can say, being actively involved in Little Athletics and the Rams club can be just as much fun for the parents as it is for the kids, and makes the Friday nights go so much faster. So get involved, help out! Your kids will appreciate you getting involved and taking an interest in their passion. I enjoy seeing all the kids have fun with their friends pushing each other to better their results week in and out. This season I’ve come on board alongside Peter to be a direct contact for the age managers and assisting them in running a great competition night for their groups. Go Rams!''

07.01.2022 Today's Committee Profile is on long-term member Melanie. You will see her each week at the Wednesday night training sessions. Melanie has been involved with the Club for a number of years through her three children, and has been an Age Manager for both boys and girls teams over this time. She is is a Level 1 Athletics Coach through Athletics Australia, and works in the Sporting Schools Program to deliver athletics training in Primary Schools. Melanie is also a certified Grou...p Fitness Instructor, and runs boot camp, dance fitness and Zumba classes in high schools as well as running her own dance school based in The Ponds. Melanie is an avid distance runner and plays women’s soccer in winter and summer. Melanie loves the opportunities that Little Athletics brings to children, such as new friendships, confidence and skills development, and loves to be a part of seeing the children shine throughout the season. 02.01.2022 Little Athletics NSW have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 State Relay Championships, scheduled to be held in November. This decision has not been... made lightly, but it is in line with the current NSW Government and NSW Department of Health restrictions regarding COVID-19. Little Athletics NSW believes that centres and members will appreciate the early notice of this cancellation. Little Athletics NSW will continue to provide updates about the impacts of COVID-19 and the 2020/21 season.
