24.01.2022 Certainly these days, we all need to check and double check the accuracy of invoices before we make payments. Scammers are sophisticated. They rely on people being too busy and distracted to notice small changes. Take a close look before you pay!

17.01.2022 ‘Hang up immediately’: New scam stealing Aussies’ bank details Lucy Dean Mon, 28 September 2020, 3:02 pm AEST3-min read... Do not provide personal information to scammers. Australians have been told to be on alert against a new scam in which victims are tricked into handing over sensitive personal details to scammers posing as the Australian Energy Regulator. The Australian Energy Regulator (AER), which works to monitor the country’s wholesale energy and gas markets, said it has received reports of a phone scam which sees a scammer pretend it is calling from the AER to offer the victim a Government rebate for power. The scammer says the rebate is on offer due to the coronavirus pandemic, but then asks for bank details to deposit the funds. If a consumer receives contact from the AER, it’s important to know we will never ask for your bank details, said AER chair Clare Savage. Anyone who receives such a call should not provide any personal or financial information and hang up immediately. We are taking this scam seriously and it has been reported to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC). Australians have already lost $102 million to scams in the months to August 2020, with phone scams the most costly and common. Click to read full story...

16.01.2022 Our Partners and Associates always appreciate the opportunity to come together for strategic planning. It's an excellent chance to take stock of where we are as a business, envision the future we want, plan it out and put those plans into action. We are at Mawson Lakes engaged in strategic planning. Doing this while the world is experiencing a pandemic is new of course but the principles of planning are the same. The argument for taking time to do so is perhaps even more important in 2020 than ever. What we are reminded of on days like today is that we have such a great, resilient leadership team who are all excited for 2021 and who have the skills needed to successfully meet any future challenges that might come our way.

07.01.2022 Here we go again folks. Covid lockouts. This is going to be a great disappointment for those who had made interstate travel plans and of course to our own tourism and hospitality sector relying heavily on travellers but keeping the virus out of SA is important.
