25.01.2022 Congratualtions to all those participating in the 2020 WTT series! Particularly the winners of the pointscores! Zoe Bond won the Lyn Cirulis Plate (W1X) & Luke Letcher - who also broke the course record by a whopping 23 secs - won the Kwiatkowski Cup (M1X). Also of note was the Radford JM4X, Ethan Toscan, Sam Roberts, William Gregroy & Damien Schroder who not only won the Men's Open Quad but were also the fastest boat last Sunday. 24.01.2022 Last night Their Excellencies The Governor General and Mrs Hurley hosted a reception for the Rowing ACT community. As Patrons of Rowing ACT, they presented awards to some of our volunteers and BROs, in recognition of the incredible work they have done over the past year. It was great to have representatives from all the groups in our community be able to come together to celebrate.

23.01.2022 Congratulations to Nick Hunter on recieving an Outstanding Service to Sport Award in today CBR Sporting Awards! Nick's contribution to rowing both locally and internationally has been incredible, and very much appreciated by all the rowing community. Congratulations also to Kat Ross, who was named as a finalist in the Para Athlete of the Year, and the Veterans and Families Indoor Rowing Program, which was a finalist for the Innovation Award.

This past Saturday we brought together current and previous service people, their families and some incredible mentors as participants learned about how to use the indoor rowing machine and some healthy training tips! 07.01.2022 A reminder that tomorrow there will be a sea plane landing demo happening on Lake Burley Griffin tomorrow. The plane will be landing between ANU Bay and Commonwealth Bridge, before being taken to Yarralumla Bay to be temporarily moored at the public jetty, then taking off again. All rowers are asked not to row out of Yarralumla Bay or ANU Bay between 10:30am and 12:30pm. All other lake users are advised to avoid the landing area during the above mentioned times. 06.01.2022 It was a big weekend for our final 2020 Winter Time Trial! Luke Letcher smashed the old course record in the men's single scull, while Cormac Hayes beat his own junior record by another 10 seconds. In the women's singles Cara Grzeskowiak beat Adair Ferguson's 1996 record for the third time in as many goes, while the Radford men's quad, rowing together as a school crew for the last time, set the only sub-14 minute run of the weekend. Catching the action on Saturday were Their Excellencies, General the Honourable David Hurley and Mrs Linda Hurley, in their new roles as Rowing ACT co-patrons.
