25.01.2022 WE NEED YOU, OUR ROWING COMMUNITY When we head to Tokyo, our rowers won't have their usual vocal rowing support in the stands - so we want them to have it in written or pictoral form around them in our tent at the boat park! [email protected] The message can be written, a drawing, an image with words on it - anything that you'd like to send to let our Olympic rowers know you're supporting them from home! 20.01.2022 Many in our rowing community are active individuals. We have all heard the concept that exercise helps you get a better night’s sleep. Whilst the concept does make sense, is it true? Rowing Australia partner, TEMPUR, has a great article that breaks this concept down, including what exercise is best, when you should exercise and essentially how this will affect your sleep. 17.01.2022 Today is National Agriculture Day and Related Industries Day! Many of our rowing community work and come from agricultural backgrounds and today is about celebrating Australia’s agricultural industries and others that support it. During COVID-19 farmers have had our back, everyday continuing to grow the food and fibre, we all depend on. ... This National Agriculture and Related Industries Day, you can keep it local in how you celebrate and acknowledge the support and extraordinary efforts of our farmers, along with those in the agriculture and related industries too! 17.01.2022 Would you like to own a piece of Australian Olympic rowing history and also help an amazing Australian charity at the same time? After 2019-20's devastating bushfires, we worked with all our living Olympic gold medalists to have a zootie signed, framed and auctioned for the brilliant volunteer organisation that is BlazeAid! BlazeAid is a volunteer-based organisation that works with families and individuals in rural Australia after natural disasters such as fires and floods. ...Working alongside the rural families, their volunteers help to rebuild fences and other structures that have been damaged or destroyed. Equally important, volunteers also help to lift the spirits of people who are often facing their second or third flood event after years of drought, or devastating losses through bushfires. BlazeAid volunteers work in a disaster-affected area for many months, not only helping individuals and families, but also helping rebuild the local communities. You can bid for the framed, signed zootie (which comes with a letter of authenticity from the Australian Olympic Team) on the link below! Help a fantastic charity out with some much needed funds!
