14.01.2022 We are nearing the phase where our State Selectors will issue invitations for athletes to attend State Team Selection Camp, which will be conducted at Lake Barrington January 9th & 10th, 2021. This season our State Team will be announced in the week following State Team Camp. It is timely therefore to remind everyone of the importance of maximising your opportunities for selection by following & complying with the Event Requirements for your category.... November is of course the final month this season for mandatory IPM ergos (30 minute, capped rate 20) due by Monday 30th November 2020. On December 14th 2020, all aspirants for selection in the Tasmanian Interstate Regatta Team will also be required to complete an open rate 5K Ergometer Test. Please re-read the event requirements for your category, particularly Section 4) State Team Camp & Selection Trials, which specify those events you should be competing in at State Pennant Regattas. You are able to access the Event Requirements on Rowing Tasmania website, dropdown box Athletes then State Team Selection Policy and Event Requirements and refer to your event

10.01.2022 SP- 3 BULLETIN INFORMATION FOR CLUBS AND SCHOOLS All attending in any capacity must pre-register through the Track n Trace function... https://www.rowingtasmania.com.au/events/82372/ Camping is allowed as per normal for this event-be advised there will be changes for SP-4 and beyond with an update will follow. For those who arrive late Friday and haven’t registered with Track n Trace please do so on-site, there will be a manual form near the café or register online. There are to be no tents/shelters left up in the boat park on Friday or Saturday nights. The newly finished Rotunda is now operational with a free electric BBQ. THIS IS A COMMUNAL STRUCTURE AND THEREFORE IS THERE FOR ALL TO USE. THERE IS TO BE NO SLEEPING IN THE ROTUNDA.

01.01.2022 We were fortunate to host Rowing Australias Deputy High Performance Director Jaime Fernandez and the Pathway Transitions Manager John Bowes. Both Hamma and John spoke to a number of our athletes who are involved with the American University programs and our coaches in regards to the Schools Pathway 8 program. The Rowing Tasmania School Pathway Program will send up to two boys and two girls 8's to represent Tasmania ,at this National event ,which will be held in conjunction with the National Junior trials in either Penrith or Canberra in April 2021.
