22.01.2022 The crew from Heli Surveys spend vast amounts of time working and operating remotely in the NSW Snowy Mountains region. It was identified because of the dangers involved in their work, whether it be specialist lifting, bushfire relief or hazard reduction that a remote based medical program would greatly benefit their team. With the assistance of the NSW Government Smart and Skilled program, RR+R recently provided a first aid in remote situations program onsite in Jindabyne, NSW. The team were very enthusiastic and eager to learn which was fantastic. Matt O’Brien, Director of Heli Surveys commented ‘’that was the best training I’ve ever had, seriously, Matt and Jake were great and the crew learnt so much, thanks.

01.01.2022 This Hunter Valley based Emergency Response team recently participated in training in Certificate II in Public Safety (Firefighting & Emergency Ops). During the program the participants developed their knowledge and honed their practical skills in fire team operations including structural fire fighting, offensive and defensive techniques whilst working at low visibility and at high temperatures. The well rounded program included advanced medical aspects, breathing apparatus, hose handling techniques, chemical fire, compartment fire behaviour and wildfire. This team will be ready to respond for future fighting and emergency operations.

01.01.2022 RR+R trainers are currently down in the Eurobodalla region training the shire council staff in chainsaw operations including how to maintain their chainsaws and trim and cut felled trees. This training was supported by NSW Government and will assist the local Eurobodalla region get back on their feet following a devastating 19/20 fire season.
