13.04.2022 Some of the badges & memorabilia we have for sale for Anzac Day. Have just received new drink coolers, Poppy re usable shopping bags & cute little bears. We’ll be at Harrup Park for the next 3 Friday’s & Parkside next Saturday. All funds raised go towards the welfare of our local Veterans.

09.03.2022 Australian Defence Medal Have you been awarded your ADM? The Australian Defence Medal recognises Australian Defence Force personnel who have efficiently completed either:... an initial enlistment period, or four years service, whichever is the lesser, and all of the relevant service was after 3 September 1945. Included are former Defence Force members who did not complete the qualifying period because they: died in service,were medically discharged (based upon individual circumstances), orleft the service due to a Defence workplace policy of the time. 15.01.2022 Happy New Year everyone, don’t forget memberships need to be paid by February please. Hope to see a few more members at our monthly meetings.....the first one of the year is next month on the 3rd. Our AGM is on the 3rd of March & we’ll be electing officers for the committee. Nomination forms will be emailed & any interested parties please submit your application at the first meeting. Hope to see some new faces thanks.

04.01.2022 What a great day it was yesterday to see so many of the Mackay community supporting ANZAC Day. A huge thank you to so many people who have worked tirelessly to make it all possible.....Col Benson who without his passion & knowledge it wouldn’t happen, our wonderful Council, SES, Police, ambulance, Fire Brigade, Council workers, Harrup Park, our illustrious Mayor Greg Williamson who is a huge support to the RSL & our cadets who I think epitomize the future of the Defense Forces. How wonderful to see our children & grandchildren proudly wearing the medals of their family Veterans.....they are our future. I’m proud to be a member of the RSL & hope in 100 yrs time we are still commemorating this day of honour.
