24.01.2022 What to do when you find a baby bird:

23.01.2022 Happy Howl-o-ween from Rogue Rogue is a 5 month old American Staffy Cattle Dog cross - or at least, that's our best guess! He's still learning the ways of the world and can appear cautious at first. He's looking for guidance from his human and is willing to do whatever it takes to please you.... Rogue is looking for a home that will give him the time and space he needs to develop at his own pace - not someone who will push him to fit their ideals from Day 1. With the right kind of love and attention, he'll be the kind of dog that will be happy to accompany you on all of your adventures. We can see him loving the puppucino cafe life as well! Like any larger dog, he'll need secure-to-the-ground fencing of reasonable height to keep him safe. He's open to meeting a new doggy friend (relaxed, easy-going ones would be best!) and at his age, could potentially still learn to live with cats too. If you would like to meet this sweet boy, 'pup' in an application and if a suitable match, staff will be in touch to arrange a meet! 22.01.2022 Happy Halloween from RSPCA QLD If you're planning on a SpooOoOoOOOKY halloween be sure to keep those chocolatey treats with just the humans, the spider we...bs, cauldrons and skeletons secure and those tricks safe. If you're dressing up your pet, check out our pet welfare and comfort guide: bit.ly/PetsInCostumes Or for food dangers see: bit.ly/HouseholdDangersAndPets

06.01.2022 SHADOW Before and after a groom ...you probably can't tell the difference just by looking, right? That's why it's even more important that dogs like Shadow are regularly groomed, because it's not always obvious to the eye what is happening with the undercoat under all that fluff! Poor care and infrequent grooming can lead to the undercoat becoming extremely matted, or trapping moisture leading to the development of hotspots - infected and inflamed patches of skin that ca...n be extremely painful Shoutout to Alex at Sugarland Animal Hospital for taking good care of Shadow on her spa day Shadow: https://www.rspcaqld.org.au/adopt/search/animaldetails

04.01.2022 We absolutely LOVE to hear how the beautiful animals we adopt out to their forever homes are doing. And we have the greatest of pleasures to be posting some recent photos we received of just that. Here is our very loved Dakota. I'll let the photos do all the talking. Thank you so much for the update Lynore

02.01.2022 COCO'S DAY AT THE BEACH Beautiful Coco girl has been a shelter dog for 55 days now and the only reason we can think of for her being here for so long is that she's just not traditionally 'pretty' But as everyone knows, true beauty is on the inside and Coco certainly has bucketloads of that ... She was the goodest girl on a special outing to the beach this past weekend, getting lots of love from coffee shop staff (thank you The Journey Bargara!) who couldn't go past her BIG smile without giving a scratch behind the ears, and happily exploring the park and the shore with her doggy pal. Coco is social with most other dogs Coco loves food and loves to please so is easily trainable Coco already knows basic commands like 'sit' and 'come' Coco is super affectionate with people Coco may not get on with cats or small animals/poultry. Her only flaw, really! As for most young, energetic and agile dogs, good secure fencing is required! If you have room in your heart and home for this beautiful girl, pop in an application form and arrange a meet and greet at the RSPCA Bundaberg today https://www.rspcaqld.org.au/adopt/search/animaldetails

01.01.2022 A great BIG thank you to all the wonderful pet owners who attended our Microchipping day today and adhered to our COVID-19 regulations with great understanding and patience, we now have another 26 microchipped pets in our Bundaberg Region.
