Cairns Adventure Group have recently acquired Raging Thunder White Water Rafting and we are planning to re-commence commercial tours on the Tully River in early 2021. Given that rafting on the Tully River has been an integral drawcard to the Cassowary Coast region for decades, the Owner of Cairns Adventure Group, Roderic Rees, wishes to travel to Tully to meet with the broader community and interested parties to advise what... the ‘new’ Tully River Rafting will look like. Roderic is also keen to hear your feedback and is happy to discuss where we feel there are opportunities for local businesses to be involved. As there have been significant changes to operational procedures since previous commercial activities were in place, Roderic will also be accompanied by a representative from CleanCo Queensland who will explain the commercial commitments of the hydroelectric power station and how these requirements affect scheduled rafting activities. Fish started guiding for Raging Thunder back on 10th February 1990. He has shared a lot of wisdom, emotional support and inspiration to a lot of young guides that have come through the ranks on the Tully River, he also doubles up as one of RT's photographers, he's the first to help anyone and one of Australia's true gentlemen.
