03.01.2022 Bowls is Back Firstly, I hope everyone has coped well whilst in lockdown. Bowls is back up and running, albeit in a restricted form due to the current restrictions imposed by Bowls Victoria. For those that are not aware the Greens are open for roll-up. ... We are allowed to conduct club social bowls restricted to 20 persons per Green with a maximum of 4 per rink. As we now have 3 Greens available we can accommodate 60 bowlers. Some members have been enquiring to when we may commence more formal social bowls events. Due to the increasing number of enquiries the Board has approved the return to formal organised Club Social Bowls conducted within restrictions imposed by Bowls Victoria. It is time that we returned to the Greens and to enable this to occur we thought we should commence with Wednesday afternoon social pairs and as interest gathers move on to Saturday social bowls and additional organised social events dependent on interest. Commencing at 1.00pm Wednesday June 17 the club will conduct Social Pairs (self selected pairs or single entries). To enable us to meet current restrictions we will be playing 2x2x2x2 pairs (this will enable minimum handling of jacks and mats) each lead will be provided with a personal jack to be sanitised before and after the game and restricted their use. Until we can return to normal conditions ladies will be permitted and encouraged to enter and compete in all organised social bowls. Green Fees: $5.00 (until restrictions lifted) Prizes: None (until return to full services) unless we can find a donor. Raffle: to be discussed at first social event Interim - Options to nominate for organised social bowls: Nomination Sheet on the outside glass front Notice Board (near side entrance) Phone Noel Murrell mob: 0490 007 125 (if message bank leave name advice team or single entry) Email: [email protected] (advise date of event to enter) Please note: Clubhouse will be closed, toilets and locker room will be open, coffee/tea will be available.
