08.01.2022 Unfortunately given the current situation with COVID-19 and in keeping with the actions of the Education Department, we have made the decision to postpone the 2...020 Mariners Trophy. All being well, we will find an appropriate date later in the year. We know that this disruption will come as a disappointment to some of our youth members, particularly those older ones who may have seen this years event as to take a leadership role within a crew in their final year in the Scout Section. In line with the decision made at the 2018 Annual meeting of the Sea Scouters Council, those youth members who had not reached their 15th birthday as of the 30th of April 2020 will still be eligible to participate in the event should it be held later in the year. It is important though, that this does not discourage older youth members from making the move to the Venturer Section when it is due, and we strongly encourage them to look towards events like the Maritime Challenge instead. If you need further information please contact Isaac Smith, Branch Commissioner Water Activities
