21.01.2022 Wow what a year 2020! After receiving a text message resignation 4 days before reopening I thought OMFG this year could be interesting ..... ......little did I know That was only the beginning ....,,, Myself and one 2nd Year apprentice worked our butts off until COVID struck end of March ,I got to be honest after Scomos announcement of 30 min services I thought we were SCREWED.... We dropped a day for 13 weeks ,it was slow for around 6 weeks of those but we survived !I shall just mention I am so proud of our little Ruby Choosedays for holding its own through the pandemic! I have to mention we did receive a substantial discount from our landlords and we are very grateful for this ! We said goodbye to Kellie,after over 2 years of employment,we are grateful for her hard work and kindness to our customers. We welcomed our New senior hairdresser Tayla who came from HEAVEN.This beautiful young lady has fit like a glove into our salon family,is a fantastic hairdresser ,cute as a button and we are so proud to have her! We also welcomed our new apprentice Kahleah who is our next rising star,Kahleah has a natural flair for hair , has just gone full time , is achieving lots of hair goals,and Learning quickly. Watch this space ,an awesome little hairdresser is aspiring here,don’t take my word for it,give Kahleah a try one day. Our little Ruby Chooseday has finished school and is now working full time ,Ruby is almost done with her training and has only around 6-8 months to go to complete her apprenticeship!Ruby is basically on the floor and we are SO proud.Ruby is SUCH a hard worker and hairdressing is definitely just part of who she is !Its in the genes and her work is amazing ! This Christmas we have had an extra little helper,our youngest daughter Monique has been pushing the broom around and making coffees,her first little job!You will see Monique some Saturdays in the new year,her favourite part of the job is lunchtime and payday. Our renovation is looking great ,four basins and more storage made our lives easier day to day ,thank you to Chris,my dad and all the tradies that were involved. In April this year I personally celebrated 27 years of hairdressing and in September 6 years in business! Our long timers have become more like family ,I’m so grateful for the support so thank you ,you know who you are & We are seriously so grateful for all of our staff who work so very hard.Especially this week it’s been insane! While we are heading off on our annual break,we are CLOSED now until 12th January 2021. We wish you all a very safe & Merry Christmas & we will catch you in 2021! Love you all P x

03.01.2022 A big Thank you to the MAJORITY who support our new policy,believe me it’s just as hard asking for a deposit as it is being asked ! The deposit only thing is new for us (nov 2020) It’s a small deposit of 20% that holds your spot and becomes credit for your service. We only hold on to the credit if you give less than 24 hours notice to cancel.... If you DO give the 24 hours notice to cancel the deposit is held for you as a credit or refunded if requested. Weve had some clients say , It’s ludicrous no How ridiculous no Ok I won’t make the appointment then With these comments,attitudes,and stroppy rudeness towards our staff ,I would say the process is working nicely. We want to be around for a long time ,we cannot afford no shows or last minute cancellations. The deposits are here to stay. P x
