25.01.2022 Word is out that we have masks for sale. For people living on the Victorian border, with no valid reason to enter NSW, can pick up masks from my residence in Mildura. Cash only. The sale will still go to Ruby’s Cargo. These patterns may not be available, but there will be a variety to choose from. Message Cherie for more details. LOCAL PRODUCE MADE LOCAL TO BENEFIT LOCAL SERVICE Bounty-a-plenty @ Ruby’s Cargo.... Ruby’s Cargo has a small well stocked pantry of local products made to support the purchase of new state of the art equipment for Murray House. Murray House's Catering Officer Keith, says this local initiative is working well in raising funds to help purchase this new equipment for texture modified food for their residents. So with Christmas not far away, now is the ideal time to pop in and choose something from their range. Thank you New South Western Standard. Note:: We have cakes, chocolate, shortbread, jams and other preserves for your consumption. These do not benefit Murray House.

16.01.2022 All the masks sold out rather quickly at Ruby’s Cargo but there will be some more back in store tomorrow (Friday). This time there are a few childrens' masks as well. If you find the mask is too loose, just cut the elastic in half and tie a knot to the firmness you like. These are not medical masks, but they have three layers of fabric and are 100% cotton with a breathable layer in the centre. They are reversible and need to be washed daily. * Prints vary, so what you see here may not be available. For customers on the Victorian side of the river, who don't want to get a permit to enter NSW, there will be masks available for you. A quick message here and pickup and payment can be arranged.

14.01.2022 Fathers Day... As a Victorian I am unable to visit our crafty little shop due to border restrictions. One of our members sent me a couple of photos to help you in choosing a gift for that wonderful man in your life you call Dad, or maybe he is a favourite uncle or someone you look up to. A neighbour living alone, a single dad.... We have a large assortment of goodies made by Woolshed Pantry including plum, tomato, Mexican chilli (not too hot, but spicy), Worcestershire and B...BQ sauces, assorted jams and chutneys and jam & chutney gift packs. Leather belts and wallets, cheese board and knife, clocks, sleeveless vest for the golfer, scarves and a variety of cards. We will even wrap your chosen gift. 13.01.2022 On behalf of Ruby’s Cargo it is with a heavy heart that I share the news of our dear friend Edna Watts' passing. Her Rosemont Collection clothing has been much sort after over the years, as were her Liberty of London handkerchiefs. Her wit, her laughter and her elegance will be sadly missed by our members, volunteers and her customers. Our condolences to the Watts family. R.I.P Edna

10.01.2022 It seems as though mask wearing in Victoria will be ongoing. Jelly Beans has made up some bright #earsavers to take the pressure off your ears. Prolonged wearing is causing a few problems for some people. The earsavers (see below) are a great complement to any mask with loops that attach behind the ears. These are available in store and sell for $3 each. The earsaver is placed at the back of your head and the elastic is looped over the button on each side. #locallymade #buylocal

People in the Sunraysia area can pick them up from my home. Distancing will be observed at all times. These will sell for $5 each but negotiable for larger orders. They are made of 2 layers of cotton; NO filter as they are unavailable to purchase. They are reversible.

08.01.2022 Locals and visitors alike love exploring Ruby's Cargo, with their treasure trove of amazing and wonderful arts, crafts and produce. However, one sticky beak caught our attention. The cheeky bird had a drink of water from the dog bowl at the front door, then it secured a good perch from which to do some window shopping. It was a flying visit, but this feathered fan is sure to be back. These photos were captured by our new volunteer Mark.

07.01.2022 Due to the COVID-19 pandemic our opening hours will be scaled back to: Mon-Fri. 11.00am until 3.00pm Sat 10am until 1.00pm Sun 9.30am until 12 noon ... These times will operate from Friday March 20 and will be reviewed at the end of April 2020 or as advised by health authorities. Members working in the shop will take all precautions necessary to make for a healthy, safe, shopping experience.

Ladies, if you wear an apron while tidying around the house, the pockets are handy for all sorts of little things... the odd coin, a button, paper clip, apple core , a marble.. got it? Then you can allocate them to their home when you have completed your chores.
