Here's our first one: Dance Smarter Not Harder. I say this in class often. How ? ... By learning good technique using the right parts of your body in sequence to execute a move. Your dance becomes and feels flawless rather than blocky and mechanical. Why? You feel and look great dancing. You connect better with your partner. More lasting power as you expend less energy and can dance longer. Progressing to more difficult moves will seem easier. You'll be the one they want to dance with ! More dancers will really look forward to dancing with you as it becomes a more enjoyable experience for them too. Good technique may seem more difficult at the start than learning to just move your feet to numbers. The difference is so worth it in the long run! If you want fuller movement think about breaking it down to two movements eg to the left then right and using body contrapositions. There are many benefits to this 90 degree rule: + better connection with your partner + improved balance + maintain your timing + even weight distribution... + easier to to transfer your weight from one side to the other.
