25.01.2022 Thanks for all our members that did Anzac remberence in your own ways. Quite a few did not get photos or videos but still did remberence in their own ways there is still more photos to come. Very proud of everyone for your efforts well done. In regards to playing performance the fact you did it is what matters it is the thought that counts most

24.01.2022 At 6am on ANZAC Day musicians everywhere are being called on to take to their front yards to play the Last Post. A grassroots campaign for Australians to comme...morate Anzac Day at dawn in their driveways is gathering momentum across the country. With traditional services and marches cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic, RSL branches in every state have unanimously endorsed the gesture, with families across the nation expected to stand at their gates, on balconies or verandahs at 6am on Saturday April 25. Please join us and the rest of Australia in this special moment to remember all those who have served and sacrificed for this nation. We may not be able to stand together as we usually would, but we can still stand united in spirit. Anyone interested should download the sheet music, start practising and notify their neighbourhood via a letterbox drop. http://musicformateship.org/ #MusicforMateship #ANZACDAY #drivewaytribute #lastpost #Minutesilence #COVID19 #isolatedbutunited

21.01.2022 Following the developing initiative, I’m letterboxing my street to get a Flash-mob thing going for Anzac Dawn Service in the Street. I’ve also started a Facebook page for the street so we can all communicate.

19.01.2022 So I started a project called Virtual Concert Band to get musicians from around the world playing together during whats going on. Any wind players out there, wo...uld love to have you involved, and if you could share to your students too that would be awesome! I have my editing work cut out for me https://www.lauraclarinetist.com/virtualconcertband

09.01.2022 Band members from all around Australia are spreading the word: Because ANZAC Day ceremonies have had to be cancelled, they’re going to do something to lift the ...spirits. At dawn -6am - on April 25, those who wish to, go outside in your back yard or balcony, or down to your local park with your instrument, and everyone play The Last Post. 1 minute’s silence, then Revielle. Imagine it: in towns and cities, on farms and beaches,; north, south, east, west - the sound goes around Australia. And people will be capturing this heart-felt salute to our soldier-heroes on their phones, I’m sure! Spread the word. Let’s co-ordinate and do it together It will have more impact. You’ve got one month to practice. (We are in quarantine so Ron will be playing it on his trombone. I apologise to everyone in advance ) If anyone needs it, sheet music here
