13.01.2022 A recent study looked at the health of the intervertebral disc (the cushioning between the bones in the spine) between long term male runners aged 44-62, and a ...similar group of males who were not physically active. They found that the runners had less age related decline in the discs, with 20% more disc height. Greater disc height is helpful in reducing load on the spine and adjacent facet joints. The benefits increased with number of years running and higher weekly mileage. Great news for runners! See more
