11.01.2022 #TBT to last Thursdays Australian Reading Hour, where awpl team members took an hour out of their day to read an Australian book. Why did we take part? Because: Reading is proven to reduce stress even more quickly than listening to music or going for a walk. Reading for pleasure is the most important indicator of the future success of a child. The more leisure books people read, the more literate they become, and the more prosperous & equitable the society they inhabit.... So really, reading is fundamental. Thank you to our team members in News Travels, Aero, Runway News, and the awpl Support Centre who took part. Also, big thanks to the teams at Newcastle Airport, Sunshine Coast Airport, Hobart Airport, and Brisbane Airport, who not only participated on the day but who support the awpl business on a daily basis. Were already looking forward to the next Love2read #AustralianReadingHour! #brbreading

06.01.2022 Introducing the awpl Heartbeat. awpl has been the Heartbeat of Travel Retail for over 20 years, and over the years we have grown and evolved multiple times. The Heartbeat program is a part of the latest evolution, committing into words the values that we choose to live, to ensure that everything we do leaves a positive and memorable feeling. We have the COURAGE to stretch ourselves in new directions.... We are POSITIVE, because good energy is contagious. We SIMPLIFY, because you can make things simple but significant. We take OWNERSHIP, and make decisions as if we are the owner; We show RESPECT because we understand that to get it, you must give it. These values are our commitment to you, from our front-line team members in stores to our Support Centre team, and all the way up to our Managing Director. From time to time, we will share stories of team members exhibiting one or more of these values, as we believe that going above and beyond to provide a great experience to our customers deserves recognition. If you have a story about one or more of our team members commitment to the Heartbeat values, please dont hesitate to share it with us via Facebook, Messenger, or email through [email protected].
