25.01.2022 [] It’s just such a lovely thing seeing your kids thrive and I’m so proud of Georgie @_georginamorrison and @jackschat for their efforts in the @ruralwomen...sday magazine. I’ve watched these girls put all their heart and soul, hours, nights and weekends into this. It was a thrill to be included, but moreover to read all the heartfelt stories of other women and to realise just what a strong breed Australian country women are and will continue to be...honoured to be their company. You are all truly inspirational. #ruralwomensday #countrywomen #ruralwomen thank you with love from #hopeandco Special thanks to Annabelle Cameron for the capture of Georgie and me in the studio. It remains one of our very favourites. See more

21.01.2022 WOMEN’S ENTREPRENEUR DAY, We didn’t even know there was such a day until today. Please tag amazing rural women entrepreneurs that inspire you We would love to check out their business or projects! November 19 - Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization (WEDO) / #ChooseWOMEN was founded in 2013 as a non-governmental, non-racial, non-gender, and non-political volunteer non profit organization. Our movement was established to bring awareness to the 250 million girls living ...in poverty globally that deserve to be given a chance in life, while simultaneously inspiring and empowering the 4 billion women on the planet! WEDO was started by social entrepreneur and humanitarian Wendy Diamond, to empower, celebrate, and support women in business worldwide. WED works globally to empower women and girls to become active participants in the economy by igniting a network of women leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs to initiate startups, drive economic expansion, and advance communities around the world. In order to achieve this ambitious goal, WED builds and catalyzes the vital networks of like-minded individuals and organizations that women business leaders need in order to realize their full potential and change the world. 14.01.2022 You could spot this gorgeous pink door a mile away, have you seen it in the RWD Magazine? The story is written by our editor, Georgie Morrison about her Mum, Sarah and the Hope & Co studio/business they have in Hamilton, South West Victoria. Between editing and writing stories for our magazine, Georgie was elbow deep in slip creating beautiful pieces for any home.... Today Georgie and Sarah open the doors to the studio for just a week. Pop in and meet the makers, see behind the scenes, purchase gifts and feel like you’re miles away from a country town, although you will feel at home straight away. There’s a limited amount of RWD Magazines available in the studio to purchase, $20 each (cash only). 09.01.2022 Our keepsake magazine stories all have a connection to Rural Women’s Day. The story with the longest standing connection to RWD is titled Connection through collaboration and it is this image that is just one of the most amazing things that came out of a epic collaboration with Emma Jane Industry when @mary_n_louise was the winner of a Rural Business Start Up prize that offered ticket to our 2019 event, a logo designed by @sophiemurfittdesign and businesses photography by... @emmajaneindustry On Friday, I will be off for a 5 hour return road trip to collect our Magazines from the printers and I just cannot wait to flick through the pages and maybe do a couple of surprise drop offs to local women who have purchased a copy x Magazines will be in the mail on Monday, potentially this time next week you will be sitting down for a cuppa to enjoy reading x Jackie Founder of RWD

06.01.2022 WELCOME TO RWD Over the past couple of weeks we have welcomed new people to our Instagram Community and we wanted to welcome you and introduce you to Rural Women’s Day Rural Women’s Day is a registered nonprofit enterprise, founded by Jackie Elliott who lives in South West Victoria at Byaduk with her partner Dan who’s a farmer. They met when her parents moved to Byaduk ten years ago, the same year Jackie graduated from ag college in Central Queensland. Following working... in farm supply stores across the district, Jackie joined the Farm Tender sales team working full time from home in March this year. In 2019 Jackie facilitated the inaugural RWD event in Dunkeld that welcomed 170 women to celebrate International Day of Rural Women on October 15. This event was awarded the local Australia Day Community Event of the Year and the social media community continued to grow. This year due to restrictions the event was cancelled and without letting the year pass by, Jackie collaborated with local writer Georgie Morrison to publish a keepsake magazine to remember a year like no other. Every weekend for the past four months, the magazine has been worked on. Planning stories, collecting photographs, arranging advertising, marketing, designing the layout, proofing, printing and packaging up to post. You might be new to this online community after seeing a friend post about the magazine, a once off special edition print. If you would like to purchase a copy head to our website (link in bio) *This gorgeous styled image is from @fairfieldshomesteadandorchard a cherry farm at Young NSW Have a question?
