25.01.2022 Yesterday we farewelled ‘Granny’ Anna. NO ONE CAN SAY GOODBYE TO A TEACHER LIKE YOU, BECAUSE YOU WILL FOREVER BE IN OUR HEARTS After 9 years in the industry, Anna has decided its time to put her feet up and relax .... Anna has worked at Ruse Preschool for the last nine years. She had formed many great relationships with the children and their families over the years. Anna was a valuable team member, with the patience of a saint. She always has a smile on her face and loved to spoil all of the children.. We will definitely miss her ! Best of luck for your next adventure
24.01.2022 The educators at Ruse Preschool acknowledge it takes a real workmate to ask another how they are feeling. R U OK? is encouraging everyone to meaningfully connect and support those not coping with life through conversation. Because we’ve all got what it takes to make a difference if we Ask, Listen, Encourage action and Check in.

Please know that Ruse Preschool is a safe place, where your child is being loved and educated by passionate educators who have been amazing at keeping upbeat throughout such an anxious season of all our lives. Some of our educators have partners that have lost jobs too. Our educators are professionals who are putting your childs needs above their own. We will continue having our cent...Continue reading
22.01.2022 We are truly overwhelmed by the support we are receiving from our families. It is so nice to read emails that support and give gratitude to all we do at Ruse preschool. We are truly blessed . Thank you Nichola and I thank you and all the teachers for the care they have provided during this difficult time. I know it has not been an easy time for any of us. Zach loves coming to school each day that he is there and in his last year of preschool, it is invaluable for him to att...end school. So a massive thanks to his teachers I appreciate everything they do.- Jennifer Van Spanje These times are definitely uncertain and I honestly cannot wait until it is over. :( I just want you to know that I loved the time the kids spent in your care and we will all miss you guys greatly.- Brittney
22.01.2022 To all our Mums, grandmothers, step mothers, those who have lost their mothers, those who are desperately longing to be a mother, to those who selflessly love like a mother, to those that mother others children, and all the women who we admire and play a part in shaping who little ones are becoming, we honour you ! Thank you for your generosity, your persistence, your forgiveness, your kindness and for loving unconditionally.
21.01.2022 HAPPY EDUCATORS DAY! We would just like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to our educators at Ruse Preschool. We hope you all know how much you are appreciated, not just today but everyday. What our educators do on a daily basis is more than just a 9-5 job. They see potential in each and every child, inspire hope, ignite imagination, and most importantly make them feel loved. ... During these uncertain times it is important to focus on our own personal wellbeing. Looking after both our mental and physical health is just as important as looking after our childrens. When we look after ourselves and feel supported we are able to provide them with the best care. We hope you enjoy your special day.
21.01.2022 Miss Ann is sending you a little reminder on how we can keep each other safe during this difficult time. We wish everyone a safe and happy Easter

19.01.2022 Dear families, We understand this time is, and will continue to be a difficult time in our lives, with the changes in each of our day to day experience, we understand the importance of education and helping our children continue to learn and grow through this unforeseen period. We still care immensely for the well-being of those at home and understand the importance of your childs development during the early years... With many of our children isolating at home we have been creating some online experiences & interactions to help keep connected to our centre Starting today, we will be posting regular experiences on our Facebook page, for all the children to stay connected through this time, we will be providing story times, cooking lessons and science experiments for you to explore with your children. These will be available and updated regularly on our Facebook Page, stay tuned Whilst the digital world is highly recommended these days, we also would love the children to continue exploring and learning through hands on experiences. Our At Home Experience bags are going to be perfect for this with purposeful learning materials, in the home scavenger hunts, kids yoga instructions and a variety paper based learning materials. If your child is enrolled at our centre and you have chosen to isolate during this time, and would like to pick up a bag from the centre please contact us on 46250585
18.01.2022 We are missing all of our Ruse Preschool families, during this isolation period. We still have some 'At Home Experience' bags for those staying at home. These packs are full of activities and ideas to keep your little ones busy during this time. A heartfelt thank you from all of us at Ruse Preschool for keeping your children at home during this time. You are helping us keep our centre, our children, and our staff safe.

16.01.2022 Updated covid restrictions- NSW as of 26th June 2021 As of 6.00pm 26th June 2021 Sydney, Greater Sydney, Blue Mountains, Central Coast and Wollongong will go into lock down with persons only being able to leave their place of residence for one of the following reasons: 1. Shopping for food or other essential goods and services. ... 2. Medical care or compassionate needs. 3. Exercise in no more than groups of 10. 4. Essential work, education and where you cannot work from home. People who have been in the Great Sydney Region (including the Blue Mountains, Central Coast and Wollongong) on or after 21st June 2021 should follow the stay at home order for a period of 14 days after they left Greater Sydney. -As listed above. At this Stage Early Childhood Education and Care services can remain open and operational for families as Education and Care is one of the reasons residences can leave their home. Families who are working from home can still send children to our centres for care and education to be provided. Vulnerable and disadvantaged children can still attend. If families are not able to provide adequate care and supervision for children within the home they can still attend. There has been no confirmation as of yet from the Department of Education and Care regarding additional support for those families who cannot attend the service as a result of covid-19 therefore until advised otherwise any absences will be recorded as allowable absences and charged fees as normal. Educators will now be wearing a mask whilst in common areas of service, including parents at drop off and pick up. At this stage there is no confirmation regarding the wearing of masks when working directly with children. Children’s learning relies on visual and verbal cues from educators, and as such, wearing masks when educating young children is not recommended. Our centre will re commence restricting access to reception / classrooms, covid declarations and temperature checks. Our educators will be meeting families at the front for drop off and pick ups. Incursions are cancelled at this stage until further notice is provided. No visitors or prac students allowed in our centres. Ruse Preschool will continue to ensure that any Children, Families or Educators who display flu like symptoms do not attend the service unless they provide a negative covid result. We will keep you updated as the information becomes available to us. Please stay safe and healthy.
16.01.2022 Finally the news is reporting things as they are. The struggle is real. Trying to balance doing the right thing by our families, and keep our educators employed, whilst fighting to stay open. Super thankful for all our families who are understanding our position and being so supportive ! We just want all our educators to be able to work as before, and all our families to return !! Praying for that day !!

15.01.2022 Pre-schoolers like going online to look at videos or to play games. They can do this using computers, mobile phones, tablets, TVs and other devices. There are safety risks for pre-schoolers online, although pre-schoolers wont usually be exposed to as many risks as older children because theyre less likely to be using the internet independently. When you take some practical internet safety precautions, you protect your child from risky or inappropriate content and activities.... And your child gets to make the most of her online experience, with its potential for learning, exploring, being creative and connecting with family and friends. Play School as teamed up the the Early Years Program eSafety, to create a special episode with our friends at Play School, including Big Ted, Humpty Dumpty and Kiya to help teach pre-schoolers to be safe and kind online, and encourage them to ask for help from an adult if they find themselves in trouble. The special online safety themed Play School episode features Kiya and her friends going online with presenters Teo and Leah to make the arrangements for her upcoming birthday party. https://iview.abc.net.au//play-school-kiya-s-excellent-ebi You can help your child learn how to use digital media and the internet safely, responsibly and enjoyably. If you teach your child how to manage internet safety risks and worrying experiences, theyll build digital resilience. This is the ability to deal with and respond positively to any risks they encounter online. You can do this by: going online with your child, being a good role model, teaching your child about good and bad content and teaching your child about in-app purchases. Today is the day to start a conversation with your child about internet safety. Go to https://www.esafety.gov.au/parents to find a wide range of resources to assist your familys internet use

08.01.2022 "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them." - Laurence Binyon ... Anzac Day, 25 April, is one of Australias most important national occasions. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the first world war. Although this year you cannot attend your usual ANZAC day Commemoration you can still remember those who served and died in war on operational service past and present. You can do this by simply sitting quietly and watching the sun rise, talking with your children about ANZAC day and reading books about men and women who served. Find out more at www.awm.gov.au
