24.01.2022 The Rushworth Spring Garden Festival is expanding its event to the Rushworth Shire Hall this year with another occasion to to mark the 150 year anniversary of the grand old building. 'Field and Forest' will be a celebration of the surrounding environment and include a range of activities and displays. 10am in front of the band rotunda.... The event will commence with a 'Welcome to Country' smoking ceremony by Aunty Jo from Taungurung Nation. All are welcome to partake in this very special ceremony. In the Hall from 11am - displays and presentations. Landcare Tony Ford - indigenous history and basket weaving CMN nest box program Trust For Nature Live animal presentation by Kirsty Ramadan from BoHollow Wildlife Shelter at 1pm. Art and more Hope to see you there!

24.01.2022 It's been a huge weekend at the Rushworth Shire Hall! Capping it off with Moulin Rouge today at 2pm. If you've seen the film, come for the cakes!

20.01.2022 Come and celebrate 2019 with family and friends at the Rushworth Shire Hall 150 year anniversary! The grand finale of a series of events, this FREE bush dance will feature live music, sausage sizzle and the launch of the Shire Hall's own history book. An historic icon, the Shire Hall is recognised as one of the Campaspe Shire's most prestigious buildings and has been the scene of many a community gathering.... Join us for this auspicious occasion! BYO nibbles, refreshments and dancing shoes!!! 5pm start so that kids can have a boogie before nightfall. All welcome!

20.01.2022 The Spirit of Making Do market 17 August 9am - 1pm 'The Spirit of Making Do' marks 150 years of gatherings, events and occasions at the Rushworth Shire Hall. It is recognition of the role that social space plays in our community and the way that these gatherings draw people back to their home. ... This event will celebrate some of the everyday happenings of our resourceful community through a market and display that showcases everyday life and the innovative spirit of people who live in this small country town. All items at the market are hand-made, home grown and vintage wares. Some say it's too early for Christmas shopping but........ Morning tea will be available. This is a zero waste event.

03.01.2022 Last weekend the new-ish Shire Hall committee struck a rare, warm, sunny morning to get together for a working bee. We pruned, weeded, raked and swept before taking a walk around to do an assessment of the grounds. Lots of new ideas were flagged for ongoing work and improvements including some new planting, replacement of gravel surfaces, installing guttering with traditional brickwork (as seen on Esmond Street) and the reinstatement of the original park benches. Stay tuned for progress!

01.01.2022 You know it was a good night when everyone wants to do it again! Thanks to all the people who came to celebrate 150 years of the Rushworth Shire Hall. We kicked up our heels, shared a meal and came together as a community. And we're still smiling from ear to ear!
