All the very best to both ladies on your amazing achievements representing the Innisfail and District Historical Society Inc. and no doubt you will find something new to keep you active in the slow lane :)

23.01.2022 A case of smashed teeth meaning a new window and new graphics to make things just like new for the Denture Clinic in Edith Street.

21.01.2022 Another customer project ticked off. Custom stripes and when it's a Ford it is basically for love ...

20.01.2022 Feeling dem feels .... while we brace ourselves for a quarantine or life without toilet paper ... whichever comes first

20.01.2022 The guys at Rivers Insurance wanted to zhoosh up out front to stand out better for customers. So Rik suggested we relocate their amazing feature sign and the result was this. Can't miss them at all now.

19.01.2022 Russell Signage & Printery has had a lot of requests for signage to help people with changed business trading and also with the rules on social distancing. So ...Rik has made up these social distancing signs as well as ones in hygiene. Call Russell Signage & Printery on 0466 969 452 and Rik will sort you out. See more

19.01.2022 Good morning Cassowary Coast! Looking out from under the blankets at the rest of the world this morning, you have to think how good is Australia?!? Here's a Monday morning sign funny for a giggle and have a great week everyone.

17.01.2022 To our customers and followers we are remaining open until told not to. Orders will continue to be taken and delivered and our staff have been trained on social distancing and hygiene risks etc. Phone communication seems like a good idea as people cut down on contact but like many local businesses we will continue with life as usual. Remember to support local businesses at this crazy time and stay safe and look out for people who live alone or who are vulnerable

17.01.2022 Is it too late to say Happy New Year? January hit us like a Mack truck but slowly catching up on things. One of the most satisfying catch ups was finishing the GF Rural Supplies vamp up down at Charles Street which was held up waiting for an all clear from Energex' power lines being too close to the building. Also thanks to Innisfail painting services services Jamie who did a great job.

16.01.2022 Local Business Hacker Alert!!! Hi everyone, we got an email this morning from a local business with a 'scan' attachment and this message: 09 Thanks, No docs yet they come later as per usual case then I attach old version. TY... The email was a forward of an actual email I had sent this local business over a year ago!!!! The email address behind the local business name is [email protected] I have let the business know it appears they've been hacked and in a very clever way indeed!!! No doubt the attachment is either designed to hijack your computer or suck information out to duplicate your identity, etc. Either way it is scary stuff. Keep alert and don't trust any attachment or weird email communication that you aren't engaged with or trust 150%.

16.01.2022 ***Be part of the YES WE'RE OPEN movement*** Hi everyone, we are giving away these stickers for local businesses to put on shop windows and vehicles. The idea is to let people know, if you are working less hours or maybe from home, that you are still open and trading using an easy to recognise logo. Yesterday we delivered our first batch to Edith Street businesses to put on their front windows and will get out as we can with more. ... The stickers are sized up to 200mm x 200mm so if you want one, please message or call us.Check in with President of the Chamber of Commerce at Cheryl-Lee Florist as Nadine will be holding onto any spares. Also you can download this image and use it as a logo on your Facebook and webpages or your emails. Please share this post around to spread the word :) .. and YES WE'RE OPEN too!!

14.01.2022 Just a reminder that a lot of businesses are still open, getting working done and doing trade. At this time it is important to support each other. So the other day we figured it was time to put some happy in our office and many thanks to Nadine at Cheryl-Lee Florist for putting together this stunning arrangement for us. Also thanks to Inderjeet at Harvey Norman for the great deal on a new coffee machine. Our beloved De Longhi died just when we didn't need that ouch, but l...ife without coffee is pretty unthinkable. Yes we live in very concerning economic circumstances but if you are able to survive this, please give a thought to putting some money into our local economy as part of your hibernation plan. We are working on until told not to although the workshop is asking for calls beforehand and observing the precautions. This virus is dangerous to our way of life so everyone please keep your 1.5metre distance and stay at home unless you absolutely need to. If it's not essential to go out, forget it! No rocket science required and yet so many Australians think they are exempt from the rules. These idiots need to pull their heads in. Stay safe everyone

13.01.2022 Innisfail District Chamber of Commerce Industry & Tourism Inc. what do you reckon we come up with a new slogan for the town? Something a bit sexier and catchier this time around? This is still my favourite so far

12.01.2022 Okay so today was catastrophic. Is there even a word worse than that for the media to use after this?? The world has such short memories thanks to the addiction to daily news. Here is an article from a year ago. It could have been written today. When you think about it, our parks are basically cladded in ACM. https://www.theland.com.au//bush-fires-rip-through-centra/.

11.01.2022 Please everyone encourage Rik Russell to enjoy this amazing work perk!!

11.01.2022 Our resident Steven Spielberg (aka Danial Russell) has been busy again ... he will make Kardashians out of us yet!! A big shout out to Bishops Silkwood Butchers - locals supporting locals!! Don't forget to stop by and get your Christmas supplies, and now you can't miss their mobile service!

10.01.2022 Last week we were shocked to learn there are allegations being made on social media that our business is spreading rumours that our competitor businesses have all closed. Why would any sensible business in a small town say such a thing when everyone can see that isn't the case, or just call these businesses to find out for themselves. But nevertheless, if these rumours are going around they can do a lot of damage to the businesses in question. Not to mention the upset that... we are copping because of this nonsense. We can assure you there are still very much 3 active signwriting businesses in town, and folks are really well serviced as a result. UPDATE: We now have learned that the source of the 'closed down' rumours came from the aggrieved signwriter himself when he told quite a few people a few months back he was closing down. Not sure why some people feel the need to get on social media and vent their spleens and be foul and offensive not to mention defammatory, whipping up town support for legal action against a competitor. Apparently unless you are threatening someone, spreading gossip and lies about fellow businesses is fine by Facebook. School ended years ago for all. We are just here to make signs. An unfortunate week best put behind us all. Here's a fluffy kitten ...

10.01.2022 Just a shout out to Tropical Coast Tourism for the new board and leadership team. We are very pleased to have been accepted as friend members recently. Even though we aren't a tourism business, it is so important to show support for this growing industry, because in turn tourism supports our local businesses. The busier we are, the more jobs we offer, then everyone benefits. All the best for the coming year ahead. https://www.facebook.com//a.14064073027/2553366291383093/

09.01.2022 Hi everyone, our war cabinet has been working on ways to not only stay open, but come out the other end of the coronavirus outbreak ready for a return to usual. Meanwhile, we have come up with this motivational profile pic. If you would like to use it on your page during the current difficult times, you are most welcome to. The more we share this message, the more it can make a difference. Stay safe all.

08.01.2022 Like a lot of businesses, we've been plodding on during this coronavirus business. It's been stressful and distracting and posting has been falling down the list a bit. We have some big news coming but meanwhile here are some pics of some jobs we've been doing. It goes without saying how grateful we are to local folk and businesses for continuing to support us and others during these restricted times.

08.01.2022 In these trying times, the spirit of friendship and sharing is a treasured thing. When I saw that stocks of Cheesybite were gone in Innisfail I reached out to the gorgeous Amanda at Livelife Pharmacy Mission Beach where I heard rumours Woolies still had some. Literally within 5 minutes my addiction issue was resolved. Anything you need Amanda and I'm your girl xx But seriously it is amazing to see people just doing stuff for their fellow Cassowarian. Feeling pretty humbled. Zan

07.01.2022 No day is the same in a regional sign and print shop. And nothing beats those random out there jobs like this awesome self serve freezer for Heat n Eat Australia ... keep your eyes out for their yummy frozen meals around town at amazing prices
